I've taken care of my own dogs for 15 years and also the dogs of neighbors and friends for about 8 years. I live in a very pet-friendly household. My sister has been a Rover sitter for around 4 years and I helped her take care of more than 100 pets. She no longer has time to be a Rover sitter so I will now take over our family business! I am currently working part-time and my hours are very flexible so I have a lot of free time to care for and love your pets! The dogs boarded in my house are free to roam the household just like my own dogs. I have a gated backyard and my mother and I are constantly opening the door to let them outside when they please! The dogs under my care are allowed to sleep wherever; they can sleep in bed with me, in their own beds, or their crates if the owner brings one for them. I have two elderly chihuahuas who are siblings. The girl stays in the bedroom with me for most of the day and the boy follows after my mother. They don’t play or interact much with other dogs we board. When I house-sit for other people, I follow the owners guidelines so that the pets can still have their normal routine. I am dependable and responsible so the owners can feel at ease while I take over their household while they’re away on vacation.
