I’ve been pet sitting since I was a teenager, and I truly love spending time with animals—it feels like such an honor and a privilege. While I don’t currently have pets of my own due to my travels, caring for other people’s pets helps fill that void until I can adopt a furry friend of my own!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my top priority when caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s. I always make sure the environment is secure, free of hazards, and suited to the pet’s needs. I follow any specific instructions from the owner, including dietary restrictions, medication schedules, and preferred routines. When walking dogs, I use secure leashes and harnesses, avoiding unsafe areas and extreme weather conditions. In a client’s home, I ensure doors and gates are properly closed, and I respect the pet’s space while providing plenty of attention and care. My goal is to create a stress-free, comfortable experience for both pets and their owners!

Mari was a great help, very gracious & took care of our dogs and our home wonderfully. Dogs had a major accident on day 1 (horrible way to start a stay!!!) and Mari quickly communicated the issue and handled it without problem. We are grateful for that and giving us peace of mind while we were gone. Thank you!!
I’m so grateful for finding Mari! She house/dog sat for us for 8 nights. Mari took great care of my pup, sent regular pics and updates and took amazing care of the house. Can’t wait to have her back!
Mari is so great with my dog! She’s my #1 go-to dog sitter anytime I’m going out of town. And I never worry about my little one when I’m on vacation because I know that she’s well taken care of. Plus my dog loves her. Definitely would recommend.

I live in Del Mar off Stratford and work from home with a flexible schedule. I pet sit and dog walk for friends and family whenever I can because I genuinely love spending time with animals. I try to stay in the area for convenience, and my rates are negotiable if you really need a hand! Please note I’ve recently raised my listed rates a bit because the platform takes roughly 27–30% in fees, so what you see isn’t what I actually take home. I want to keep my rates fair and reasonable while also making sure the time and care I provide are sustainable for me. I’m always happy to talk about pricing, especially for neighbors, repeat clients, longer stays, or situations where someone just needs a little extra help.

- It’s important for me to understand your pet’s typical routine and your expectations while you’re away. For overnight stays, my rate may be adjusted based on your pet’s needs and how much flexibility I have throughout the day. On weekends, if your pet is comfortable being alone for longer periods and primarily needs feeding, walks, bathroom breaks, and overnight companionship—with flexibility for me to come and go during the day—I’m happy to offer a discounted rate. On weekends, if your pet cannot be left alone for 4-6 hours or more, requires a set schedule, or requires day care in addition to overnight, my standard overnight rate may be adjusted. If you need me to remain with your pet for the majority of both the day and night, with only short 1-3 hour breaks away, the rate may be adjusted further to account for the additional time commitment. Please share your normal routine and expectations when booking so we can determine what level of care is the best fit and agree on a fair rate.
