I’m a PhD student and I work from home almost full time. That means I am around for consistent routines, timely feeding, regular toilet breaks, and the kind of steady company that many pets prefer. I am not rushing in and out around a long office day, and I can adapt my day to a pet’s normal rhythm rather than forcing them to adapt to mine.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a one bedroom flat and I take home safety and hygiene seriously. I currently have two cats at home and one dog. My dog also spends time with my boyfriend in Birmingham sometimes, so I am very used to adjusting routines smoothly and keeping everyone settled and secure. I run my home in a calm, structured way. Doors and windows are always checked, food is stored safely, and I keep pet areas organised so there is no chaos around bowls, litter, or toys. I am careful about separating spaces when needed, supervising introductions, and making sure every pet has a comfortable place to rest without being bothered. Cleanliness is non negotiable for me. Even with pets in the flat, it stays clean and tidy all the time. I have a consistent routine for litter trays, floor cleaning, wiping surfaces, washing bowls, and keeping fur under control. My cleaner is genuinely impressed every time she comes, which I consider a very serious compliment. Most importantly, I treat trust as something you earn. I follow instructions closely, I do not take risks, and I keep owners updated clearly. Your pet will be cared for in a safe, calm, and well managed home.

Information Chang Y. would like to know about your pet
Let me know about your fuzzy little baby before booking. For dogs, I primarily prefer small to medium dogs. I will ask about: • Daily routine: feeding times, walk schedule, toilet habits, sleep habits • Lead manners: puller or calm walker, recall reliability, off lead preferences • Temperament: with strangers, other dogs, and in busy areas • Health and special needs: allergies, medications, injuries, mobility issues, anxiety, reactivity, or anything your vet has flagged • Home rules: sofa or no sofa, crate training, separation tolerance, training cues you use • Safety details: harness type, escape risk, door dashing, resource guarding, bite history if relevant For cats, I will ask about: • Feeding routine and litter preferences • Indoor or outdoor status • Shyness, hiding habits, handling tolerance • Any medical needs, allergies, or behaviour triggers
A typical day
A typical day with me is calm, structured, and built around the pets because I work from home full time as a PhD student. I get up early to feed my cats their wet food, and if any pet needs medication I can give it exactly as instructed, including mixing it into canned food when appropriate. Dogs usually go out for 2 to 3 walks a day depending on their needs, with plenty of sniffing time and a safe, steady pace. During the day I add short training refreshers and mental stimulation such as basic cues, simple games, and play sessions, then I make sure they have proper downtime to rest. Cats get interactive play and companionship on their terms, plus consistent litter and hygiene routines. Overall, pets get reliable care, attention throughout the day, and a clean, settled home environment.

Pet care experience
I live with 2 British shorthair (boys) and 1 Schnauzer (girl). And I have real, hands on dog care experience, including raising my own Schnauzer. I am comfortable with both the practical side of dog care and the emotional side, meaning I can handle routines properly while also making sure your dog and cat feels safe, engaged, and relaxed. I am reliable with timings, careful with doors and leads, and I give clear updates. You can expect a sitter who treats your dog and cat like a loved family member❤️
