I am currently in between employment and am looking for ways to make some money while I gear up for a master’s program in Scotland this fall. My availability is very flexible (e.g. mornings, afternoons, evenings, week days, and weekends) as my only other commitment is helping my brother with special needs on occasion. I will have plenty of time to give extra care and attention to your pets.

I am very respectful, making sure to treat your home and pets as my own and ensuring their safety. For walks, I’ll make sure to use your preferred collar or harness, take the same walking route if that is what your pet prefers, always picking up their poop and putting it in the proper garbage, and making sure the doors/gates are locked before leaving. If your dog doesn’t enjoy interactions with other pets or people, I will make sure to avoid those situations, or if they do, give them plenty of time to socialize. In the home, I will make sure any hazards are put away, food is secured, things are put back where they belong, and make sure off-limit places stay off-limits. I will follow all instructions and send questions your way if I am unsure about anything. Plus, I’ll send photo updates so you know your pet is happy and well when you’re away.

I would like to know what triggers your pet, whether they are reactive to other pets, people or noises. If they have separation anxiety, what might those telltale signs look like for your pet. Are they possessive over food or toys? Are they prone to running away if they see the chance? Knowing their routine is great so I can keep it the same for them and avoid any accidents or anxiety. If your pet takes any medication or supplements, please let me know the method, how much and how often. Also, if there are any house rules I need to know, such as no pets on the furniture, and where extra pet supplies will be should I need them. Plus, anything else that is important or particular about your pet that I should know.
A typical day
Whatever your pets need, I’ll be able to provide. Whether that’s one walk or many walks, long walks or short walks, high-energy playtime or relaxing down time, I’m capable of it all. I’m incredibly flexible and adaptable in how I take care of your pet. I can keep up their routine if you prefer or switch it up and add some fun new adventures like fun little hikes or exploring new neighbourhoods and smells.

I grew up with a beautiful, high-energy golden retriever, taking him for walks and car rides, brushing him, and giving him tons of pets. As someone who loves animals but isn’t in the position to have a pet of my own, I take any opportunity I can to hangout and take care of them. I had the opportunity recently to dog walk a senior dog and pet sit a couple big dogs for a few family friends and loved every minute of it. I took them for walks and potty breaks, fed them, played with them, and made sure to keep them on their normal routine while their owners were away. I am a quick learner who is able to follow instruction very well and ask questions when needed, so if your pet needs any extra care (for example, administering oral medication), I am more than comfortable taking on new tasks.

Chanel had the responsibility of providing care for both my dog Hunter and daughter’s dog Nala. Chanel is a very caring, mature, well educated young lady. Her gentleness and genuine love of animals is demonstrated while carrying out her specified duties. Ie: walking, feeding, playing and staying overnight with both dogs.
