Pet care experience

House, Fenced Yard, and Sitter Team

Hello! My name is Chandupa. Ipsita, Avi, and I have years of experience with dogs, cats, and rabbits. I have personal experience taking care of two rabbits and two cats. Ipsita has personal experience taking care of dogs of all sizes and ages. Avi has personal experience training puppies and caring for one elderly pet, their family's late dog, Tyke. Tyke was a sweet, but mischievous black lab mix whose strict diet, regular exercise, and overflowing love from family and friends enabled him to enjoy a long, happy life until his peaceful passing in 2018. Rover is a way for us to welcome a flurry of furry friends back into our lives. (Note: Please keep in mind we only take friendly dogs, i.e., non-aggressive dogs who get along with other dogs.) - *Services Offered* Dog Walking: for a half hour (or an hour) in your neighborhood Drop-In Visits: for a half hour (or an hour) in your home House Sitting: for more than an hour in your home Day Care: for the day in your sitter's home Boarding: for the night in your sitter’s home - *Pet Philosophy* 1) Safe: Our primary concern is to make sure that your pet is safe and sound. 2) Responsible: We try to be punctual and take the pet care responsibilities that we are entrusted with very seriously, including giving food on time, frequent bathroom breaks, etc. 3) Accountable: We intend to take care of your pet as we would our own, but if we human creatures make any mistakes, we will try to be upfront, honest, and transparent about it. 4) Responsive: I am committed to maintaining constant communication with you, providing regular updates (via messages and pictures) as often as needed for your own peace of mind. 5) Patient: Avi has a gentle but firm way of handling even the naughtiest of critters! He has experience with teething puppies and breaking up dogfights by canine rivals who later became friends. 6) Loving: Beyond spoiling your baby with treats, attention, and cuddles, we hope the care, affection, and fun that your pet has with us leaves them feeling content! - *Roles* Chandupa (primarily on-line): - manage the virtual Rover account - coordinate team Ipsita (primarily on-the-ground, but currently on-line): - take care of pet-sitting responsibilities in our home - maintain our home and backyard Avi (primarily on-the-ground): - handle and care for your pet - take care of pet-sitting responsibilities in your home/neighborhood

Dog Walking • Dec 24, 2025

Avi has been an amazing dog walker for Astro. From the very start, Astro absolutely loved him and was always so excited and happy to go on walks with him. Avi is reliable, caring, and clearly has a natural connection with dogs. We always felt comfortable knowing Astro was in great hands. Highly recommend Avi to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog walker.

Doggy Day Care • Aug 27, 2025

One of my dogs is very timid. I appreciate how calm these three are, it has helped him get used to being in a 'stranger house'. Both dogs love having access to the backyard. Chandupa is very responsive to scheduling, I can usually get responses within 5-15 min.

Avi, Chandupa, and Ipsita were absolutely wonderful with Soba. He had a wonderful time and they were constantly communicative and sending pictures and videos. Soba really enjoyed his time there, and we will definitely be booking again!!

Our dog Rizzo had a great stay! He was a little nervous the first day/night but was treated with great care and understanding. He adjusted and had a great time! We appreciated receiving regular updates and pictures/videos while we’re away. Looking forward to another visit!

Schedule

- Pet care fits into our routine the same way it did when our pets were alive. Because there are two of us, it is more likely that one of us will be available either online or in-person to address your concerns, so there's no need to worry about your pet(s) being left alone and unmonitored for long. There are no pets and no young children who live in the home.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Safety, trust & environment

- *Environment* With more or less complete and full-time access to all three floors of the whole house and the entire backyard, there is plenty of space both inside and outside the house for your furbaby to rest and roam. The house and backyard are relatively pet-friendly: - The backyard is recently-fenced and beautifully-landscaped. - *Pre-Booking* 1) Please feel free to sign up for a meet and greet to see if we would be a good fit for each other with no obligation to commit! 2) I re-adjust the prices for all of our services at the start of each month to determine the fairest price for each of our services. 3) We prefer to keep all of our transactions on the Rover platform because the Rover Support team can provide third-party assistance in case there are any issues. - *Post-Booking* 1) Same-day cancellation policy: full refund if the booking is canceled before service. 2) Please send us a picture/list of all of your pet's belongings before the start of the stay. This will help ensure that all items are returned to you at the end of the stay! 3) If your pet has significant separation anxiety or if you book a longer stay, you may wish to consider leaving your pet with us for an hour at a time (for $16 per hour) as many times as needed to get comfortable. The benefit of a one-hour drop-off is that it reduces your pet's feelings of abandonment because they get picked up very soon after being dropped off in an unfamiliar location. You can also book a one-day daycare or one-night boarding for the same purpose. 4) Please consider leaving us ratings and reviews on Rover!

A typical day

The specifics of how each day goes will likely depend on the personality and preferences of each pet. A bare minimum schedule of a typical day would look like: Morning: ~ Wake up ~ Potty break in the fenced yard ~ Breakfast Afternoon: ~ Play, cuddle, etc. ~ Potty break in the fenced yard ~ Rest Evening: ~ Dinner ~ Potty break in the fenced yard ~ Sleep Your pet will likely spend most of their time close to us unless they prefer otherwise.

I really like clear, detailed written instructions for me to reference, so please feel free to share a "cheat sheet" on how to best take care of your pet(s)! Convey all of your expectations and wishes to us upfront to ensure your own peace of mind for the duration of your pet's stay with us: 1) When, what, how much, and how often should we feed your pet? Does your pet have any allergies or dietary restrictions/preferences? 2) How does your pet indicate that they need to go out for a potty break? Please note: We generally understand when adult pets have accidents in the house during the first 24 hours they stay over due to nervousness and unfamiliarity with the environment. However, if they continue to have accidents even after 24 hours, we will inform you and modify the booking so that you will be charged the "puppy rate" for the stay. (On Rover, the puppy rate is for pets who "require a [higher] level of care.") If you have a puppy and are looking for services during a holiday period, please be aware that the charge will be the holiday rate + 10% to cover the puppy responsibilities. 3) Does your pet run away and if so, how can we lure them back? Or do they tend to stay in/return to the house? 4) Does your pet need to go on walks? Can they tire themselves out by playing in the backyard? 5) Where does your pet generally prefer to sleep? 6) Does your pet get along with other humans/dogs/cats? 7) Does your pet have any special needs, unusual preferences, or unique quirks? For example, do they dislike or like to be petted or picked up in a certain way? 8) How frequently do you want us to update you with photos/videos of your pet? If you have any other requests to make sure that your pet is safe and comfortable, please let us know.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
