Chandrika was responsive and shared frequent photos/updates. There was an issue during the first few days related to handling a fearful cat. My cat hid in a high kitchen cabinet. Her husband attempted to pull him out because they were worried he might “suffocate,” and my cat bit his hand (breaking skin). Her husband later needed urgent care for an infection. I strongly recommend that sitters check in with the owner before attempting to physically remove a scared/hiding cat, as I would have guided her to use a safer strategy. I also found some of the follow-up communication uncomfortable. She frequently made assumptions insteading of asking questions, and I had to correct her assumptions. For example, she thought he was stressed because he missed me. I had to repeatedly explain that he was stressed because it was a new environment and it takes a few days of allowing him to hide and be left alone before he calms down. When I did give specific written instructions, Chandrika did listen well. She seemed to care a lot and my cat was ultimately okay. I’d just recommend additional familiarity with normal cat stress behavior and asking for guidance when there is a concern.

Chandrika is a solid sitter. She was very easy to communicate with and sent lots of pictures and videos of my boy. He was very happy in her home and care. Highly recommend!
