Sicherheit, Vertrauen & Umgebung
While I don’t have a fenced-in yard, I do have access to a few quiet, safe dog parks that are perfect for playtime and structured walks. For safety, all dogs wear secure harnesses when leaving the apartment—no collar slips on my watch! I also use a doggie seatbelt anytime we travel by car, because your pet’s safety is always my top priority. When your dog stays with me, I kindly ask that feeding and medication instructions be legible (typed is preferred) to make sure nothing gets missed. For overnight house sitting, I appreciate detailed, easy-to-read instructions about your pet’s routine and where to find supplies like food, medications, cleaning, and anything else I’ll need to keep your home running smoothly. Your pet's care is always personalized, and clear instructions help me provide the same love and structure they’re used to at home!

Informationen, die Chad P. gerne über dein Haustier wissen möchte
Before I care for your dog, I like to learn a bit about them so I can provide the best (and safest) experience possible! Here are a few things I always ask: 🐾 Are they up to date on their rabies vaccination? 🐾 How do they behave on walks and when outside? 🐾 Have they had any formal training? 🐾 Do they show any signs of aggression toward people or other dogs? (Note: I do not accept dogs with a history of human or dog aggression.) 🐾 Do they resource guard food, toys, or people? 🐾 Do they have a favorite toy, treat, or special spot they love to be scratched? The more I know, the better I can make your dog feel at home—and ensure a safe, happy time for everyone involved! Any dogs needing medication must have typed instructions.
Ein typischer Tag
When dogs stay with me—or I stay with them—I stick closely to their usual routines. I follow their feeding schedule and make sure they get plenty of potty walks: one in the morning, a midday stroll, and an adventure in the afternoon like a visit to the dog park or a relaxing walk on the nearby rail trail. In the evening, it's dinnertime, cuddle time, and a final potty break before bed. I love spending quality time with the dogs in my care—whether it’s tossing a toy, working on basic cues, or just hanging out together. I naturally weave training into our daily routine, from feeding and leash-ups to playtime and walks. Dogs thrive when we turn everyday moments into learning opportunities, and it strengthens our bond in the process. For safety, all walks are on leash using a secure harness, even in low-traffic areas like the rail trail or quiet neighborhood paths. I also take pups to the Jeffersonville dog park for safe, enriching off-leash play. Whenever possible, I prefer that outdoor play happens in a securely fenced-in space.

Expert Pet Care & Dog Training
Erfahrung in der Haustierbetreuung
Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and working with them brings me a real sense of purpose and joy. I’m a certified positive reinforcement dog trainer with over a decade of hands-on experience, including ten years focused specifically on training. Over the years, I’ve worked in boarding facilities, daycares, shelters, and with rescue groups—giving me the chance to work with all kinds of dogs, from the tiniest pups to big goofballs, each with their own quirks and personalities. For nearly ten years, I’ve served as the lead daycare attendant and trainer at a local dog daycare, helping dogs learn, grow, and have fun in a safe, structured environment. I’m certified in pet first aid and have built strong working relationships with local animal hospitals and rescue organizations. I’ve also completed specialized courses in training shelter dogs and teaching private lessons. I love getting outside with dogs—whether it’s a long walk on the trail, a fun game of fetch, or some playful training that builds confidence and good habits. I’m happy to provide references from past clients, coworkers, and employers who can speak to the care and attention I bring to every dog I work with. Thanks so much for considering me—I’d love to meet you and your pup!

Got stuck on a trip and wasn’t gonna make it home in time to let the dogs out and feed them. Chad was a super hero and was able to head over on very short notice! The dogs always love seeing him! Grateful to have someone kind and reliable to call who genuinely cares for my pups.

Chad was the absolute best with my geriatric chihuahua that normally hates everyone and my hyper ball obsessed second pup. It was so lovely to see pics of both pups snuggling on the couch with Chad after feeding, walks, and playtime. Knowing they were getting love along with the basic care allowed me to feel at ease on my first trip away from my doggies. Chad was on time and communicative and -as a picky dog parent- I would recommend him to everyone.

Amazing as always! I appreciate the notes & pictures. Cats are really getting used to Chad. I always know I don’t have to worry when he’s coming around.

Chad did great with my little dogs. They got lots of play time at the dog park and walks on the rail trail.
