Pet care experience
Your fav sitter’s fav sitter
Hi! I’m Cem, a Brit in Brooklyn, work-from-home writer, and the world’s number one dog fan™️, living with my brand new puppy Dolly, a dachshund chihuahua mix. Having grown up with dogs in my family, ranging from Jack Russell pups to lolloping Labradors, I’ve always been relied upon to provide the care, love, and fun our furry friends deserve. Recently, I have moved into an apartment with large private outside space, providing the perfect spot for canine guests to roam safely in the sun, while my neighborhood is extremely dog-friendly, close to three parks. I am available to dogsit most weekdays, many weekends, for the day while you work, overnight while you vacation, and everything inbetween. I have recently hosted a number of dogs, for up to four days consecutively, and have recieved great feedback from owners I’m happy to share!

Ratings and reviews
Cem was great with my blind, senior pup. I felt comfortable leaving her with him and it was very obvious that she felt comfortable in his care as well. He was super accommodating to all of her quirks and old lady needs.

Cem was great - easy to communicate with and very responsive!

Cem was a dream sitter for our charismatic old lady. He didn’t blink an eye at all her meds and our pup took to him at once. Cem was quick to get back to us, sent cute pics, walked her more than we do and gave her a fun vacation in Williamsburg. We couldn’t recommend him more. We’re so glad Marzipan has a new friend.

Cem was great! He helped me out in a pinch and took great care of my dog.

Cem was awesome with Rivers. He sent great updates and Rivers was clearly comfortable with him. Will absolutely use him again.

Cem did a great job with my senior pup Stella while I was on a work trip. He was super sweet with Stella and I could tell she had a fun time with him — she looked so happy and content in all of the pics/video updates he shared while I was gone.

Schedule
I WFH, 9-5.30, Monday to Friday, enabling me to host dog friends fairly flexibly, with long lunchbreaks for walks and regular breaks for runs around the block. Happy to host just for the day, or overnight for longer stays. I am also available to board over weekends, but require a little more notice.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a private, fenced roof deck/patio, with astro turf and comfy furniture for your fur babies to roam and rest in. My apartment is open plan, meaning I’ll always have an eye on them, and there is plenty space for their beds, bowls, toys, towels, training pads, and everything else they might need.
Pets
A typical day
A typical day might include getting to know you briefly while introducing me to your dog, feeling out what they need from me and taking on important information face to face, followed by a period of letting your dog acclimate to the apartment and yard, exploring the space and setting out their food and water. Then, a walk to nearby McCarren park, back home for playtime and lots of attention, followed by another walk around Cooper park, then food, snuggles, and lounging around the apartment!
