I recently started my journey with Rover and can’t wait to build lasting relationships with the wonderful pets and pet owners in this community, and am interested in taking care of pets close to Scruggs Rd. My husband and I recently retired and moved to beautiful Smith Mountain Lake off of Scruggs Rd. Now, I’m thrilled to have the time to reconnect with my love for animals! There’s nothing I enjoy more than walking, playing, running, and, of course, snuggling with dogs and all furry family members. I’ve had dogs throughout most of my life, and even as a child, I was the one in my family who eagerly cared for and spent time with our pets. Over the years, I’ve also cared for cats (whether they were our own or friends'), as well as rabbits, fish, and even horses. In addition, I’ve volunteered with Animal Welfare Leagues, where I enjoyed spending time with animals awaiting their forever homes and helping with various housekeeping tasks. I’ve also been involved in horse therapy for special needs children, working as a side walker and caring for the horses.

Pets are family too and I treat them as they are mine. I have always felt very comfortable around animals and make sure they are getting the attention they need and want.

We are always very happy and have no worries when Celinda stays at our home with our two dogs! She is a great sitter and gives them lots of walks and love.

Celinda won over our somewhat skittish dog on her first visit. I appreciated her offering a welcome visit in advance of the sitting and knew everything would go great after watching her with our pup. Highly recommend! Great communication - it makes travel even more fun when we know our 4 legged family are in such good hands ❤️
Celinda is a great dog sitter. Guinness is very excited when she arrives to my home. She communicates very promptly and provides updates on Guinness. She leaves my house and there is no evidence she was there!! Great job!

Schedule
I am recently retired, active and looking to enjoy more time with animals. That said, my schedule is is getting busier on the lake and I'm not able to take on ongoing daily or weekly walks and housesitting requests greater than 4 to 5 nights, but definitely will do my best to help out with any other request.
