I would not book again, sadly. I was really disappointed with the level of care my 3 cats received. I would say it’s deterred me from ever wanting to take a long trip or use Rover again. There were several red flags. The first red flag, I would say, is the times Celia arrived everyday for my cats was pretty inconsistent. Some days it was after 5pm sometimes close to 8pm and others early in the morning. I did want her to stop by early the last day because our flight got in late in the afternoon. This was the only day she really committed to the time I had asked. Another red flag was that I had left instructions to please make sure their water fountain was full before she left. I had a friend stop by mid trip and she informed me they had absolutely no water in their fountain. This really worried me so I dropped Celia a message and she replied she was sorry and they had had a little water when she had left the day before. I tried to be understanding and make excuses in my head but It really shouldn’t have happened. I’ve never had the water fountain go empty on myself and it takes about a week of not filling it up at all to be completely gone, so I knew she had not followed that direction. Water is really important to cats and most don’t drink enough as is. It made me feel like she might have even been skipping days. I have a pet camera to check on the cats I got just for this long trip. Towards the end I noticed one of my cat’s eyes looked a bit funky but I couldn’t get a good image. Celia hadn’t said anything about it so I asked her. She said she would check on it the next morning and sent me a dark image where it didn’t look so bad and I felt a bit better. However, I did ask her how it looked to her in person and she said maybe a bit pink in corner but looked fine to her! When I got home that evening my heart sank. My cat’s eye was infected and raw. It was missing hair in the inner corner and looked painful. It smelled so bad in my apartment upon arrival and my partner noticed that the fake planter litter box had never been changed at all (for 10 days) and filled to the brim with poop and had mold growing in it. I asked her if she did not know it was a litter box and she said “on no I didn’t notice, sorry!” For someone who has fostered five cats and had been around my cats for 10 days I don’t know how you could miss the litter mat in front of it and cat scoop beside it. The fact that it sits just adjacent less than 5 feet from the other one and let alone the smell. My cats use that litter box usually within 5 minutes of eating wet food so it’s pretty shocking she didn’t notice any of them going in it ever. It made me think she must have not stayed long at all with them or didn’t pick up on any of their habits. I’m nearly 30 weeks pregnant and came home to poop in the bathtub (my cats have never done this) and old poop under the bath mat and just poop and stains everywhere. It was the last thing I wanted to do was clean my house after a 10 hour journey back home. I felt my home was disrespected and the filthy litter box was probably what caused my cat to get an eye infection. I think she did feed my cats the wet food I requested at least, that’s why I give 2 stars. I have never left a bad review like this but I wouldn’t trust her with your animals. Maybe she does better with dogs but I felt awful for my cats.

Celia was highly communicative and took great care of our cat during a week long trip! I recommend her and plan to book her again for check ins.

Celia is prompt and a great communicator. My dog loves to see her.

My dog tends to take a bit to warm up to people. Tonight was the first time she was introduced to Celia and she gravitated to Celia almost immediately. It was a great meet and greet and walk.

Celia is great! Has been flexible and communicative. Did a great job walking our 100lb dog :)
