Unfortunately, our experience with this pet sitter was very disappointing, and we ultimately had to end our trip early to pick up our three dogs. We requested a last minute booking as our regular sitter was unavailable. This sitter agreed and offered a meet and greet but stated it was totally fine if we did not have time to do one as the booking was only 2 nights and last minute. I am always very open and honest about my dogs when booking a sitter. I made her aware of certain things and I also specify things about them in their profiles to avoid any issues. Day 1 was fine, drop off was a little chaotic as two of her own dogs escaped her broken fence and my dogs were very excited to meet hers but otherwise no issues. Day 2 was when things took a turn at around 4:30pm. She sent us a picture of one of my dogs in her small above ground pool which was next to a smaller pool for the dogs. She then followed the photo with a threatening message; “If your dogs put a hole in my pool I will be charging you.” I immediately responded, apologized and requested more information as I have a large in ground pool at my house and my dogs do not jump into it unless they are instructed to do so or if they are left outside in the heat unattended for a long period of time. She responded stating this pool isn’t made for dogs and that they were whining in their kennels. My dogs are very well crate trained but I also understand that dogs may behave differently when in a different environment so I again apologized for this and requested more information so I could try to come up with a solution but ultimately i decided picking them up early would be the best option. I informed her of our ETA and updated her when we were 5 minutes away, we received no communication within this time. Unfortunately when we arrived our dogs were allowed to run out into the street which was very concerning. Thankfully they were unharmed because they immediately ran to us and jumped into our vehicle. This, however, was not the end of this difficult situation. This sitter came over and we were met with accusatory and disrespectful statements along with a very inappropriate comment regarding our son. My husband and I remained quiet in order to avoid escalating the situation and left. I recognize that my dogs may not have been the right fit for this sitter. However, I believe a sitter should also communicate concerns as they arise and handle difficult situations respectfully and professionally. I have boarded my three dogs many times through Rover and had never had any issues so this entire situation was shocking to me. I am sharing this review simply to provide an honest account of our experience so that other pet owners can make an informed decision when choosing a sitter.

I needed a last minute petsitter, which was extra stressful because Alegría, my dog, is very special about changes in her routine. I had to left her with different pet sitters a couple times this year, and she didn't do good. They were really nice and I'm pretty sure they took well care of her, but she developed an emotional colitis. With constipation, blood, and everything. Cecilia settled a meet & greet within the next two days after our first communication, and allowed us to meet her dogs and guests. Alegria felt comfortable IMMEDIATELY, which of course made me feel easy as well. While I was out of town, Cecilia sent pics and videos EVERY MORNING AND EVENING (What?! Giiiiirl, that's more audiovisual material than I have from my dog in a whole month!), and kept me posted about her process. The best/worst part: I think my dog is still mad at me for taking her away from her friends. It's a bittersweet feeling, I'm not gonna lie. Cecilia is the absolute 'Dog Whisperer', but also a very reliable and responsive pet sitter who really seems to enjoy and care about our furry babies. Girl! You don't have an idea about how difficult this month has been. Counting on you made my life way easier! I hope you're available anytime I need you, because y'all are already part of our pack! ❤️

Cecilia B, is a very loving, caring sitter. She sent pics, and verbage multiple times a day, just as she said she would. It looks as if my dogs genuinely enjoyed the change of atmosphere. Will definitely be using her again, I highly recommend her to anyone pondering on hiring her

Katie was really great with my doggo! She send me videos and pictures of him daily! Gave me a peace of mind that he was well taken care of and having lots of fun! My doggo usually takes time to warm-up to other people and dogs, but with her he felt at home and played his little heart out! Definitely recommend Katie and will be using her again!

Katie was absolutely AMAZING with our Irish Setter, Shannon! She was so professional, but also personal, throughout Shannon's entire visit. We got pictures every day, and updates about how she was doing (even a picture of her in a leprechaun hat on St. Patrick's Day!). Most amazing of all, though, is that Shannon was calmer than I've ever seen her when I picked her up... no panting or anxious behavior like we usually see when we pick her up from boarding places. She adored Katie and obviously loved her stay with her. Kate, you are a ROCK STAR and we are definitely coming back!!!
