Hello, I’m Cav — a professional dog trainer and K9 handler with extensive experience working with all breeds in high-standard kennel and training environments. I specialize in supporting dogs with complex nutritional needs, medical requirements, and individualized care plans, regardless of age or temperament. My wife Lauren and I are committed to providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that feels like a true extension of your home. Lauren also brings years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and is involved in their daily care. Together, we take the time to understand each dog’s unique needs and create a personalized care program tailored specifically for them. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your dog’s requirements in detail and show you how we can support them with the highest level of care.

Cav and his wife took great care of our sweet Parsley while we were in Luray for a quick family getaway this past weekend. They showed us the area where Parsley would be staying, safe and clean with little white boards for each doggy detailing their needs (they had only one other canine customer at the time that Parsley was there). Their land is beautiful and they sent us pictures of Parsley while she was enjoying her time with them. Cav and his wife are kind and professional humans who are clearly committed to taking care of the dogs staying with them. We will be back!

I truly can’t thank or recommend Cav and his family highly enough! I have a very strong, excitable Pitbull mix whose regular sitters were all booked and Cav was the answer to my prayers. He has an excellent setup that Scotty adored (we call it “camp”) and an obvious mastery of canines from a deep breadth of experience. I felt completely comfortable leaving Scotty in his care and will do so again next time we are in the area. Cav was responsive, communicative, and captured the hands-down cutest picture of Scotty ever. Thank you again, Cav!

Schedule
Your dog will be looked after all day with lots of time outside to play, stretch their legs, and just be a dog. They’ll get walks around our 5 acres, plenty of playtime, and the chance to hang out with other dogs if their temperament allows. We take regular breaks throughout the day—usually every 1–2 hours—and they can spend as much time as they like in our fully fenced dog area. Every stay includes at least 30 minutes of structured exercise, and we only take up to 3 dogs a day so each one gets the personal attention and care they deserve. You’ll also receive daily photo updates so you can see how they’re doing—each evening around 7pm for boarding, and sometime during the day for daycare.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced dog area that connects directly to our basement setup, so dogs can spend plenty of time out of their kennels and play with other well-mannered pups if you’d like. We’re available any day of the week (we prefer at least one day’s notice) and are around for most holidays, since we don’t travel much throughout the year. For peace of mind, all dogs are monitored by cameras 24/7 both in the kennels and outdoor play area, and they wear GPS collars anytime they’re outside. Pets
A typical day
Mornings start with a potty break, followed by breakfast and time to play outside or on our training floor. Throughout the day, dogs get regular breaks plus opportunities for walks and games of fetch. If you’d like a little extra enrichment, we offer optional toys, bones, and specialized games. For high-energy dogs (or any pup that could use some mental stimulation), ask about our slow-feeder games and lick pads — they’re a fun way to keep them happily busy and challenge their brains.
