Information Catie W. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if your pet has any special needs, what their routine is, what their exercise needs are, and any behavioral challenges they have. I do not expect pets to be perfect, so please don’t hesitate to share the struggles with me. If you have multiple pets, I would like to know how they get along with one another and if there’s any management I need to do to minimize conflict between them.
A typical day
I am a bit of a homebody so I love to relax at home, watch tv/movies, play board/card games, and do crafts. I enjoy playing with pets and including them in my daily activities as much as I can. I love an excuse to get out of the house, so I’m always down for a little walk, trip to the dog park or to a Sniffspot. I also really enjoy a dog that likes to swim!

Patient & Experienced Pet Care
Pet care experience
Hi pet parents! 🙂I have been working in the animal welfare and veterinary industry for 8+ years. The bulk of my experience is in animal sheltering, but I’ve also worked in wildlife rehabilitation, doggy daycare, and in a veterinary clinic. I have experience with a variety of medical care, kitten and puppy care, pet first aid, and managing pet emergencies. I’ve also managed several cases of lost foster pets through my most recent professional role and returned the pets to safety. I have a lot of patience for pets experiencing stress, and enjoy utilizing my skill set to try to comfort them. Additionally, I have experience working with dogs and cats with behavioral challenges, and am happy to welcome those pets into my care on a case-by-case basis. I do not, however, utilize aversive tools for behavior modification and I’m not comfortable using them on client’s pets. This includes prong/ pinch collars, shock/bark collars, squirt bottles, and any other training tool that modifies behavior based off of punishment. I’ll be happy to share more about what I prefer using if you’re interested!

Reviews

Such a wonderful experience working with Catie. She was flexible in the process of setting up meet and greet and very helpful explaining the process as we were new to Rover. She took very good care of our Pepper, gave great updates along with pictures and she left the house absolutely spotless. I would definitely have Catie watch our pets again any day!
Catie was wonderful. She demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the well-being of the animals throughout her stay. I received regular updates, which eased my mind while I was away. I wholeheartedly recommend Catie to anyone seeking a dependable and caring pet sitter.
Catie is wonderful! My cats are very social, so being able to have them go spend the week with Catie was much better than having someone drop in. Her years of work as an animal welfare professional really show. Both my cats have medical issues, but I know Catie would know what to do if something comes up. She’s very skilled at medicating, even trickier things like subQ fluids which a lot of pet sitters wouldn’t be comfortable with. She knows a lot about enrichment too and makes sure they get plenty of playtime. By the end of the week, my boy cat was sleeping in her bed! 😄 I would strongly recommend Catie to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Your pets will be in great hands.
Catie is excellent with pets! She provides so much attention, love and care to my dogs and they can be a real handful sometimes! She’s always kind, respectful of space and my dogs love her so much. Anyone would be lucky to have their pets cared for or walked by Catie.
