Enrichment-Based Home Boarding
When your dog comes to stay here, they are loved as a part of our pack. We work from home with a flexible schedule that allows for plenty of fenced-in-yard play and neighborhood walks. Our typical dog care schedule aims to strike the right balance of fun and rest to avoid over or under-stimulation. *Note: We are not the right fit for dogs who need to be the only dog in the sitter’s home. As a mental health therapist with an anxious dog of my own, I am particularly attentive to dog body language, signs of discomfort, and unique personality. I empathize that it truly sucks that you can’t just text your dog to ask how they’re doing when they’re in another person’s care. My aim is for the next time you arrive at my home, your pup’s booty will wiggle and communicate it all! In the meantime, I welcome your check ins and am happy to send you plenty of pictures and detailed updates. Because we have dogs of our own, I require proof of up to date vaccinations. Please send with booking request! Things that I want to know about your dog: - feeding schedule/amount - sleep routine (crate/loose) - exercise needs/frequency - any major known anxiety/reactivity triggers - scale of 1 (untrained) to 10 (will never have an accident unless something is wrong) how potty trained are we? (This is important to know as it impacts cost of supplies/repair and frequency of outside time) - what will your dog need when other humans enter my home when they’re here? - any allergies or treats they cannot have? - would your dog like to join us to go to the dog park?

Catie is wonderful! Loved all of the updates and how much TLC she gave our pup during her time there.

Catie was great with my pup Ruby! Ruby has some extra triggers, and Catie not only was great with making sure Ruby did okay and figuring out what Ruby needed alongside the other dogs in care that day, but also provided frequent updates throughout the day. 5/5!

Our very energetic dog had the best week with Catie! I feel like he had his own doggie summer camp experience while we were on vacation. Every day I got pictures and videos showing him on his many walks and adventures. I was genuinely concerned he wouldn't want to come home after all the fun he had with Catie. We will definitely bring Milo back the next time we are out of town.

Catie is by far the best dog sitter we have ever had. Her communication and attentiveness is incredible! She looked after our 2 year old Lab and from all the messages and the slow introduction to the other dogs in the house, it was an amazing experience. Catie doesn't just look after your dog, she loves them, makes sure they're comfortable, provides enrichment activities and structure, takes them on adventure walks and most importantly ensures all the dogs in her care are safe and happy!

Echo had a fabulous time at KG’s as usual; we can see how happy she is from the photo and video updates and how much fun she has with KG and the other pups. Even when we drop her off, it’s clear how excited she is to be there. She gets lots of walks and attention and play time and cuddles, and gets to be her silly self. KG provides lots of updates and treats Echo like one of her own dogs, which really helps when we’re on a longer trip and can’t take Echo. Echo is already looking forward to her next boarding experience at KG’s!

Catie always takes such good care of my pup, introduces her to new dogs and experiences, and communicates proactively about general updates and any potential concerns. Bertie loves going over and comes home tired and happy.

Schedule
My own dogs are central to my daily routine and get plenty of enrichment, play in the yard , basic training, and rest each day.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced yard, an indoor camera, gates and rooms to separate dogs if needed, two crates, and more leashes and toys than one pack could ever need.
Pets
A typical day
Our typical weekday starts with breakfast, outside playtime or a walk, rest/nap time, a mid day bathroom break/quick play, rest, and then evening big play time/long walks or park time, dinners, and cuddles for the night. When your pup stays on a weekend, we typically spend the morning or early afternoon on some sort of long adventure or a mix of enrichment with basic training in the yard and walks. With owner permission, we may take a dog park trip and practice some training there. We generally separate dogs at rest time depending on size and temperament and monitor them with an indoor camera if and when I am out of the home.
