Hello and thank you for stopping by! A little about me - as an adult I've owned 3 large dogs, which have sadly all passed away. I have been volunteering with animal rescues since 2011, including CACC and Safe Humane Chicago. I have fostered many dogs and puppies during this time. My own dogs had behavioral challenges and between them and the rescues, I've worked with some of the best certified, positive reinforcement trainers in the area. I consider myself a canine behavior junkie - I can read canine body language very well and understand when dogs are uneasy or uncomfortable with something. I treat all animals with kindness and compassion. I wholeheartedly believe in positive reinforcement training and will not use any kind of aversive (prong, choke or shock collars) on animals, even yours. While caring for your pet, I will follow all provided instructions. I can update you as much (or as little) as you want. I know what it's like to leave your pets in the care of someone else - my goal is to provide a stress and anxiety free time for your pet while you are away. I met Cathy through a dog rescue we both volunteered at. We connected over our strong belief in positive reinforcement training. There is no one I would trust more with my dog than Cathy. She’s extremely knowledgeable when it comes to canine care, and always goes the extra mile. To her, it’s not just about making sure a dog is simply fed and walked - it’s about providing an environment where every dog she cares for feels safe, loved, and experiences both mental and physical enrichment. If you want someone experienced, trustworthy, responsible, and that will also be respectful in your home, I would 100% recommend Cathy.
Cathy and I met and became friends over our love of dogs. She was such a help to me a few years ago when I had major shoulder surgery. I love my dog...but he's got stuff:) He can be strong on leash as well as leash reactive. Cathy would come over and take him for nice long walks and tire him our for me. She treated him with kindness and patience and used positive reinforcement (and yummy treats) to help him get through situations that were hard for him. There are not many people I trust with my dog, but I 100% trust Cathy (he might even like her better than me)!

Schedule
I work full-time from home Mon-Fri. As long as I have internet access in your home, I can work and still care for your pets.
