I work from home with a very flexible schedule and have few meetings or regular obligations outside the house. I share my home with a friendly three-year-old dog and a two-year-old cat—both are well socialized, and my dog especially loves playing with other dogs. Because I’m home most of the day, I can provide attentive, consistent care and easily accommodate additional dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for secure outdoor time, and I’m happy to crate dogs overnight or when I step out of the house if that’s part of their routine or needed for safety. When appropriate, I can also bring dogs with me on errands so they’re not left alone. I live on a quiet dead-end cul-de-sac that’s ideal for calm walks, and I’m also close to Forest Hills Park for longer, more enriching walks and exercise.

Information Cathryn M. would like to know about your pet
Here are the most important things I’d want to know from a dog owner to provide the best, safest care: • Daily routine: feeding times, walk schedule, potty habits, and sleep routine • Behavior & temperament: how your dog does with other dogs, cats, children, and new environments • Training & cues: commands they know, leash manners, and any habits I should reinforce • Medical needs: medications, allergies, injuries, mobility issues, or chronic conditions • Feeding details: food type, portions, treats allowed, and any sensitivities • Crating preferences: whether they’re crate-trained and when they should be crated, if at all • Exercise needs: preferred walk length, play style, and energy level • Anxieties or triggers: separation anxiety, noise sensitivity, resource guarding, etc. • Emergency info: vet contact, emergency contact, and care authorization • Comfort items: favorite toys, bedding, or routines that help them feel at home
A typical day
A typical day includes plenty of structure, attention, and downtime. Mornings start with potty breaks and a calm walk or backyard time, followed by breakfast and some play or enrichment. Throughout the day, dogs get regular outdoor breaks, companionship, and supervision since I work from home. We fit in playtime, rest, and cuddles as needed, with walks on my quiet cul-de-sac or longer outings to Forest Hills Park. Evenings are relaxed, with dinner, another walk or backyard time, and settling in for a comfortable night according to each dog’s routine.

Safe, Calm Home for Your Dog 🐾
Pet care experience
I provide calm, low-volume care in my home. I usually host just one guest dog at a time, and occasionally a second if the dogs are a good match and both owners are comfortable with it. Keeping the number of dogs small helps create a relaxed environment where each dog gets plenty of attention. Dogs who prefer a quieter setting often do especially well here compared to large, busy daycare environments. That said, they’ll still get lots of socialization playing with my dog, Luna, going on walks, and entertaining visiting neighborhood kids, etc. My standard daycare and boarding rates apply to dogs that are comfortable relaxing on their own for a few hours while I run errands or work from home. If a dog requires constant supervision or cannot be left alone, that may require a different care arrangement or a custom rate. I’ve been around dogs my entire life and genuinely love caring for them. Over the years I’ve pet sat for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I understand how important it is to have someone you trust with your dog. As a dog owner myself, I treat every dog in my care like part of the family—focusing on safety, routine, patience, and lots of affection. My goal is always to make sure your dog feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
Reviews

Our tiny but mighty dog Hansi (11 lbs) had a wonderful stay with Cathryn and Luna. Cathryn sent us frequent updates and Hansi felt right at home. We’ll be sure to use her again, if the need arises and recommend her services for all shapes and sizes of dogs!

Boba had an amazing time with Cathryn and her kids! She made herself right at home which speaks to the cozy comfort Cathryn provides!

Kate had an important work activity in the middle of Kai's stay with her and it was a bit of a challenge finding another sitter at such short time. She was willing to cancel her work commitment if we were not able to find Kai a sitter but luckily everything was sorted out at the last minute. Thank you Kate for your commitment.

Thanks Kate for taking care of Kai while we were away. It made us less worried knowing he was in good hands. Will definitely recommend and rebook.
