Pet care experience

Acres of Play!

I have cared for animals on my farm for almost 20 years. From cats to dogs, cows, pigs, horses, and chickens, I love to care for animals. For the first time, I am without an animal on my 20 acre retired farm and would love to invite your pet to join me here. I am recently retired and would enjoy spending time with your pup. There's plenty of open space and activities to offer your furry friend. My land is fenced for your dog to exercise and play. Of coarse, there is also time for hugs and pets. I have an exterior fence around the 20 acres and an interior fence around my home. I have the necessary experience to meet your dog's needs and help them feel comfortable, cared for, exercised, and loved.

Junie had the best time with Cathryn and we were happy that she was having a fun staycation while we were on vacation! Room to roam and gain independence, endless places to explore and a calm person who accepts all the wackiness that Aussies bring! Thanks for a great stay- we are so appreciative!

Thanks for a great stay Cathryn! We apprecited knowing our pup was well-cared for and having a fun time exploring with you while we were away. We are thankful for you and your flexibility when our flight was delayed too. Thanks!

Cathryn took great care of my corgi Koopa during thanksgiving break. My dog is reactive to dogs so her farm is a great place for my dog to relax without too much other distractions. Cathryn sent us daily updates during the stay and Koopa looked very comfortable and happy. Cathryn also puts safety as top priority for the dogs she’s taking care of and she understands the training needs of my dog and is able to keep him trained and stimulated during the stay. Koopa is returning to her care in December and I’m sure he’s very excited for his staycation!

Cathryn took great care of my Corgi. She sent me daily updates, took him for walks, and around her big farm property. She also understands dog psychology and handled him well with walking and training. Couldn’t recommend her enough

Schedule

Being retired, I have plenty of time for dog walks at the farm or on the many trails that surround this area. We can also walk around the Redmond shops if that is type of socializing they enjoy. Perhaps they are senior dog that just want to hang out? I want to know what your pet is comfortable with and then provide continuity. Each day of the week, we will have time to exercise, hang out, and have fun so you can relax knowing that your dog is being given special attention.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet's safety is primary. It is the first thing on my mind when making a decision for your dog. My fenced property provides plenty of safe leashed or off-leash play while being supervised and engaged. For smaller dogs, the fenced space around my house may be more than enough room. Also my years of experience with a range of animal health care issues allows me the necessary confidence to know when your loved one needs additional care or vet care. Before leaving your pet with me, we will go over all of their dietary, medical, and social needs and requirements so that I can make informed choice and keep them on a routine which is comfortable for them.

A typical day

My farmland offers endless opportunities for dog fun! Running, walking, fetching, smelling, a dip in the creek, and then a chance to rest. Some dogs enjoy just hanging out on my front stoop where they have a territorial view while being in a fenced space.

Cathryn can host up to 1 pet per night
It is important for me to know your dogs medical needs, food preferences, likes and dislikes. Unfortunately, I can't accept dogs with anxiety issue. They need to be comfortable being away from you, kenneled when I am away for short periods, and sleeping in a new space. Also, I only take dogs up to 40 pounds.
