Availability
I recently moved to the Boston area to attend graduate school which will start in September. I’m looking to make some extra cash and spend some quality time with animals before school begins! I am very flexible throughout August. I prefer some notice with bookings, but I may be able to make some same-day bookings work. My schedule will become busier in September, but please reach out and I will see what I can do for you!

Safety, trust & environment
Since I recently moved away from home, I am missing my dog, Louie! I look forward to caring for your pet and will treat him/her as my own. My approach with animals is gentle and respectful. From my experience working with rescue dogs, I am used to working with pets who are skittish or defensive. I understand pets may have a hard time trusting a caregiver who is not their owner, so I will strive to make sure they are comfortable. I have found I am good at adapting to each pet’s personality and unique needs. I will reach out to you prior to booking with questions about your preferences in pet care. I will also reach out prior to discuss expectations for entering your home to ensure we are on the same page before the first booking.
Information Catherine W. would like to know about your pet
For walks, please let me know your dog’s energy level, typical distance for walks, and any behavior in walks I should know about (pulling, stopping, chasing cars/ squirrels, and aggressive behavior around dogs/children/others while outside). For drop-ins, please tell me what activities I should do with your dog and how long I should expect to be there. Let me know if your dog has any additional needs such as medications, food, etc. Lastly, give me a heads up if your dog has trouble getting back in its kennel and what you typically do to help with this.
A typical day
This is up to you! I am open to walks, playing, feeding, giving medication, help with training, and more. I am also a photographer, so I could take some fun photos of your dog if you would like.

Nice to meet you!
Pet care experience
I have grown up around animals my whole life. I have had a dog since I was 6 years old and I have additional volunteer experience. I volunteered with the Canine Healing Project, a non-profit which trains and cares for rescue dogs. I have also volunteered in a doggy daycare and at humane societies. I even have experience with caring for horses, so large dogs are no problem for me!
