I have taken care of dogs and lots of other animals for as long as I can remember. I have grown up with large dogs my whole life. I have experience with Labs, German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers. In addition, I have taken care of friends and family dogs of all shapes and sizes from puppies to elderly dogs. I participated in a 4-H club and learned dog training techniques and worked on those skills training my chocolate lab and my grandparents’ golden retriever. In high school, I completed 2 years of Veterinary Science classes. This entailed learning about medication administration, feeding, first aid, training, and grooming.

Catherine was wonderful to watch Nugget! She was extremely accommodating with frequent updates which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We had to extend our trip and his first sitter was unavaible to watch him so Catherine was able to FaceTime us before the drop off which gave us peace of mind. She was all extremely helpful during the drop off with his previous sitter. Would highly recommend! Thank you so much for taking care of Nugget!
Katie did an awesome job taking care of my two pit mixes, ages 6 and 15. She stayed in my house and watched my dogs for 8 days. I came home to a house still in order and my dogs happy. Katie kept in touch with me throughout my trip, sending pics. My dogs love Katie! I will definitely use her again to sit for my dogs!! She is awesome!! Thank you Katie!!

Katie is a kind hearted person with a lot of love for animals. As a former student of mine, Katie was always eager to share photos and stories of the dogs and animals she groomed and cared for during her Vet Tech classes. I believe that Katie will be a wonderful pet caregiver!
Katie always had pets growing up as a child and her love for them grew into adulthood. Katie is reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. She completed two years of Vet Tech training in High School, so she has quite a medical background under her belt as well. She has been employed by several doggie day cares, and has experience caring for dogs with special needs, and of all different sizes and breeds. Her experience is not limited to dogs, but also cats, birds, reptiles and horses.
Since she was a young girl, Katie has always been drawn towards children and animals, and they, in turn, feel taken care of and understood by her. Growing up, animals were always very important to her: she had dogs, a rabbit, and a bearded dragon, and provided dog-walking services in her neighborhood. She also took care of horses at a nearby stable. Katie attended the two-year Veterinary Science Program at Chantilly Academy in Virginia, which enables students to study and gain experience in the care of a variety of animals. She worked at a number of dog care facilities, which included performing pet grooming services. Because of her natural love and interest for animals, as well as the extensive experience she has had, Katie would be an ideal candidate in any animal-care position.

Schedule
I am currently working part-time at a dog boarding facility which allows me to have plenty of time to play and care for your animals! I’m available after 2:00 monday-friday, available saturday after 1:00 and available sunday all day.

I'm passionate about animals, especially dogs, and find immense joy in caring for them. I'm drawn to dog sitting because it allows me to combine my love for dogs with my strong sense of responsibility. I believe I'm trustworthy because I am detail-oriented, I follow instructions meticulously, and I understand the importance of open and honest communication. Pet owners are entrusting me with the well-being of their beloved companions and the security of their homes, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I am also reliable; I will always be on time, fulfill my commitments, and prioritize the dog's needs.
A typical day
I love to get dogs out of the house and go on walks and runs. If they love to play fetch we can go to the park or play in the back yard!
