Catherine can care for
Availability
I have a part-time job so I am most consistently available on Mondays. For Tuesday-Friday's, I'm available from 6:30pm depending on your location. Weekend availability varies so I tend to set these as unavailable on the Rover calendar, but please do send a message with the dates you have in mind and I'll see if I can make it work.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat other people’s homes with great care and make sure to leave the space as I found it. I will let the pets come to me when they’re ready and use treats if they’re particularly shy (with the owner’s permission). I know how difficult it can be to know who to trust so I’m more than happy to have a video call to introduce myself and for you to ask any questions.
Information Catherine S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any additional needs or behaviours to look out for. For example, being particularly nervous around a specific breed of dog or type of person. Also let me know if your dog trained with particular commands/phrases so I can keep this consistent. For shy cats, let me know if they’re the type that likes attention but needs some treats to encourage them or if they prefer to be left alone.
A typical day
Other than taking dogs for a walk in green open spaces to make sure they can let all their energy out, I also love playing games with toys or movement. Once inside I generally opt for calmer interactions like head scratches or petting them while they sleep on my lap.

I can’t have my own so I’ll settle for fun aunt :D
Pet care experience
I’ve been pet sitting and dog walking for over 10 years now, starting as favours to friends or looking after my family dog for her 16 years. I’ve been lucky to travel around the UK by looking after people’s adorable pets using Workaway or simply word of mouth. I take way too many photos (my camera roll is like an RSPCA ad, but happy) but I know how reassuring it can be for owners to see how their pets interact with someone new. If you like the idea of a full blown photo shoot so you can see the adventures we get up to, just let me know! Anyway, I’ve been very lucky to take care of dogs of various ages, sizes and temperaments so I am confident to cover the majority of pet care (for dog walks, please note I am 5ft 3 and of average strength :D). I have now settled down in Bristol so would love to spend more time with animals alongside my job in mental health. Please let me know if you have any questions about my experience or if you’d like to see more photos from past pet sitting.

Reviews

Catherine looked after Zia wonderfully and gave me complete peace of mind. She was friendly, reliable, and kept me updated throughout, which I really appreciated. It was obvious that Zia was well cared for and enjoyed her time with her. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Catherine again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, dependable, and trustworthy dog sitter.

Catherine looked after our cat for 4 days and cat sat at our house. She communicated with us about how our cat was getting on, and sent loads of lovely pictures as well. Organising everything with Catherine was easy and we would definitely recommend her to others.

Catherine has looked after our energetic 2 year old lab/spaniel mix a few times now. From the very start she has been brilliant, quick at responding to messages, reliable and amazing with Arbie. Before agreeing to look after him she suggested a trial walk, something that immediately gave us confidence she takes the safety of the dogs she looks after seriously. From the regular updates she sends we can see Arbie is being utterly spoilt and having a fab time. We have complete confidence knowing our boy is in such good hands, honestly can't recommend Catherine highly enough, thank you Catherine!

Catherine is the greatest, our anxious dog Bonnie loves her and I feel so at ease leaving her knowing she’s with Catherine.
