I would definitely recommend Catherine to look after your dog, she treated our dog like her own, she kept us in touch with loads of photos of how our dog was doing and Belle seemed to have had a great time in the garden with playing with children getting wet with the hose.

Perfect! Organised, flexible, friendly, communicated well - kept us updated with how our dog was getting on throughout his stay. Couldn't have asked for more.

Catherine and family looked after our 12 year old Labrador and 9 month old Golden Retriever for a week. The family obviously love dogs and gave them both a fantastic holiday. Catherine provided daily updates with lots of photos, mainly of doggy cuddles. Great to know the dogs were safe, happy, well looked after and loved so that we could enjoy our holiday with no worries. We would recommend Catherine. Thank you.

Cat and family did a great job of looking after Nettle - she’s worn out and super happy! Thank you ☺️

I am very happy to recommend Catherine for anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy person to look after their dog. While I was away on holiday, she took wonderful care of my dog and treated him as if he were her own. She is incredibly kind and has a genuine love for animals, which was clear in every aspect of the care she provided. I had complete peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. She ensured he was walked properly and regularly, fed well, and given plenty of love, attention, and affection. It was obvious that my dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout my time away which showed in the photos and messages she sent to reassure me he was happy. I would not hesitate to ask her to look after my dog again and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking someone who truly cares about animals and goes above and beyond in their care.

Catherine has looked after my Cockapoo for both short and long stays in her home. She has also offered us a walk from home service on the occasions when we have had to work late. Catherine is a genuine dog lover and the affection she shows towards my dog is just fabulous. Over the last 5 years she has been 100% reliable and has never cancelled any arrangements I have requested. She has also proved to be flexible when I have changed plans at short notice. My dog absolutely loves staying with Catherine and is treated as one of the family. I am regularly sent pictures of what they are doing and the walks they go on are varied and interesting. I would recommend Catherine to anyone as I have never worried about leaving my dog with her, in fact I worry she will not want to come home!

Schedule

We have recently lost our beautiful boy. He was a rescue German shepherd crossed with a border collie. Our house is very quiet without him. We love country walks, open fires and adventures! Our dog always had 2 walks a day, first thing and a second afternoon or evening. We have walks straight from the house or can go further afield (I have a split dog cage in the boot). I am happy to take several dogs from the same household (if I feel I can walk them all safely).

Safety, trust & environment

I am insured. I have a fenced garden, and chickens, (They can be shut in if required) and an open fire for snoozy pups to sleep next to! We have 2 children (7 and 10) who are used to dogs and absolute love all breeds! I am happy to use an extendable lead/ long line but we generally visit places where they can be off lead if guaranteed recall.

A typical day

We start with an early morning walk and have a second walk in the afternoon or the evening. We have a large garden for sniffing around and if the weather is nice, the back door can be open all day.

Catherine can host up to 4 pets per night
How is their recall, can they be off lead in open countryside? Are they friendly with other dogs? What sort of a lead, collar harness do you use? How is their prey drive? We have chickens but they can be shut in if they are likely to eat them.
