Caring for pets like they’re family
I’ve been around animals my whole life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. In the past, I’ve had two rescue dogs and two cats of my own, so I’m comfortable with different breeds, and needs (including my prior geriatric dog with medication needs). I’m used to keeping pets on a schedule and helping them feel safe and settled. I’ve also helped care for friends’ and family’s dogs over the years, and I’ve volunteered on a goat farm and an equine therapy program, which gave me experience working with a variety of animals and temperaments. Overall, I aim to be patient, attentive, and reliable. I always appreciated good communication when my pets were being cared for and I intend to provide you with the same peace of mind.

Schedule
I work from home 4-5 days/week, which allows me to be attentive throughout the day. I enjoy getting outside for walks, as well as spending time in my backyard for supervised play time. Dogs that are low-to-moderate energy and who tolerate downtime fit best into my routine. I do have activities evenings and weekends but can provide adequate potty breaks on days where I am not home as much.

Safety, trust & environment
I keep a clean, pet-friendly home and make safety a priority. I follow each pet’s routine, and any special instructions. I also provide routine updates so owners feel confident and reassured. For safety when unsupervised, I either crate dogs who are crate-trained or contain dogs to one room with baby gates.
A typical day
I enjoy getting out for regular walks! There are lots of walkers and other dogs in my neighborhood. There are great walking paths and the lake nearby. Your pet can also enjoy plenty of backyard playtime and inside there’s not shortage of cuddles to be had.

- I only board dogs that are well-behaved, have good house manners, follow basic commands, have some degree of recall, and can walk without excessive leash pulling. I also need to know whether your dog is crate-trained and if uncrated will tolerate containment with baby gates. Dogs who have issues with kids or other dogs are taken on a case by case basis. If your dog has significant medical or behavioral considerations, I would recommend seeking a more specialized sitter.
