Availability
I'm currently not working so I am home most of the time except for doing some errands or going to the gym. Your dog will get an 45-60 minute walk in the morning (shorter if needed) and another walk in the afternoon. I have a fenced in yard so there is lots of opportunity for play time as well. I always liked to keep my dogs on a routine for feeding and walking so they know what to expect daily! There is lots of time in my day for cuddles!

I have a large fenced in yard to keep your dog safe. Your dog will only be outside while I am home and will never be left outside while I am away from the house. If needed your dog can be crated while left alone for short periods or at night. I have 2 dogs beds but if you prefer to bring your own then that is great! My home is mostly all one level with the exception of 2 stairs leading to a sunken living room, ideal for senior dogs.
Information Catherine F. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I can work with to make their stay happier and less stressful. I will not board dogs that are aggressive towards other dogs or people.
A typical day
I love to treat your dog like one of our family. Walks are super important! The biggest thing I missed when we lost our dog was our morning and afternoon walks. Not only does it provide your dog with exercise and fresh air it is mentally stimulating for them and in our neighborhood a very social time with all the other doggies. If your dog is not a social butterfly then walks will be solo. During the day there is plenty of time for playing in our yard and hanging out. If they like the beach then a beach walk may be on the agenda! I will always keep your dog on a leash while on a walk. If you have a senior dog and they aren't able to walk far then it might be a car ride to keep them happy!

Pet care experience
I have had animals my whole life and had dogs for the past 17 years. One of my biggest stressors was finding a loving, caring, responsible dog sitter for our dogs while we travelled. Keeping our dogs out of kennels was important especially as they aged. We turned to Rover when we moved to California 2 years ago and found the most amazing dog sitter who loved our girl with her whole heart! Sadly we just lost our 14 year old lab a few months ago and lost her sister a 15 year old lab 2 years ago. Our house is way to quiet without a dog right now. We are currently looking to rescue another lab but in the meantime I would love to help look after your furry family member! Since our dogs live long lives I have a lot of experience in caring for senior dogs from administering medicine and supplements to short walks, helping them in and out of the car and lots of cuddle time. For those more energetic dogs I like to go on long walks in the morning and would love a doggie companion. Our neighborhood is very dog oriented and at around 4pm all the doggies walk together and have some social time. Recently I have been helping out my friends and neighbors with dog sitting and dog walking and would love to help you out too! My husband and I are empty nesters so all of my love and energy goes into looking after your dog. I'm at home all the time so your dog will have lots of love and attention and for those senior dogs lots of potty breaks and outside time if needed.

Cathy is an excellent sitter. I highly recommend her. My 9 month old Corgi is quite the handful but she handled him with ease. He came home tired and slept in the next day! Thank you Cathy!!
Cathy is our go to person for our 8 month old black lab Olive. Cathy keeps Olive busy with puzzles, walks and fetch. We are updated through out the day with photos of her activities. We feel very comfortable leaving her with Cathy during her adolescent stage of life. Lana O.
I have known Cathy since January 2024 when she relocated to my neighborhood. Cathy is the most warm-hearted dog lover I know. She cared impeccably for her own dog (no longer with us), the most loving dog ever, which I attribute to the love her dog was given . Cathy always started her day with feeding, doggie vitamins and supplements, all integrated into the routine, followed by a morning walk. Similar routine in late afternoon/evenings. Cathy often would cook an egg for her dog when making herself breakfast, maintained multiple dog beds in the house, ensured top tier medical care, provided dog toys, and took her on outings. When traveling, Cathy was always sure to leave detailed directions for the dog-sitter; on one occasion, when she had some concern about her dog's care, out of concern for her dog she called me to make a house visit. In other words, she always gave and expected the very best care for her dog. On many, many occasions, Cathy welcomed my geriatric dog to join me for social at her home, and eventually she brought an extra dog bed to her guest bedroom for my dog to sleep. After that, whenever we would go to Cathy's, my dog would trot back to her own bed in her own bedroom to get comfy. Cathy also dog sat for me on many occasions, feeding and caring for my Ginger with the same kindness and care she generously and lovingly she lavished on her dog. This includes Cathy coming to my house as well as my dog staying in Cathy's house. Cathy also has helped some of her neighbors with their dogs, recently helping care for the dog of a neighbor who had some health limitations and was unable to walk his dog. I have only the highest regard for Cathy's ability to care for dogs. If you want to know your pet will be tended and doted while you are away, Cathy's service will allow you to travel and free of worry. I recommend her without reservation.
