Availability
I am an intentional low-volume sitter and can guarantee that your dog(s) will be my priority and can rely on my consistent and predictable presence, as I work remotely full-time and they will rarely be left alone. I prefer providing individualized care, especially to those who need help with decompression or are sensitive to disruptions in routine. You will be able to depend on concierge-level availability, attention, and communication.

About Catherine C.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
For boarding, my home is a quiet 1B apt with a balcony and a big beautiful view for window watching. I take immense pride in my ability to read subtle body language, take note and communicate to you any behavior/digestive/etc. changes, research on breed-specific caretaking as needed, and provide unhurried walks and enrichment. I adore the clingy and the aloof and all the in betweens, and will respect their needs for engagement, personal space, and deep rest all the same 😌
Information Catherine C. would like to know about your pet
🚨🚨***If your dog is particularly reactive/vocal, my home will not be the best fit as I would be disrupting my apartment neighbors. Please also note that there are several dogs that live in/walk through the common areas. 🚨🚨***my building management unfortunately has breed restrictions, so I will not be able to invite certain dogs into my home - the most popular breeds include pit bull mixes, mastiff, American bulldog, Great Dane, Belgian malinois, and Doberman among others. If your dog’s breed is often a restricted one, chances are it will be here***. 😓😓
A typical day
Before (and during) the booking, I will make sure to be thorough in asking you about their routines, allergies, needs, preferences etc. whatever allows me to return them to you feeling fulfilled, nurtured, and excited to see me again. Locust Point/Riverside is a very dog-friendly neighborhood with tons of safe walking/sniff routes, a big active dog park, cafes with dog treats, lots of field space for unleashed fetch, and new friends everywhere. If they’re not into that, my couches at home are always a very cozy option too!

WFH (I need the walks too)
Pet care experience
I always take someone’s trust in me to look after their dog as a privilege. Until it’s the right time to have my own dog, I am gaining as much experience as possible and will truly treat yours as if they were my own. My goal will be to make them feel nurtured and safe rather than merely fed and walked 💗 I have fostered/sat dogs of all different sizes, energy/aggression/anxiety levels, ages, personalities and abilities and am particularly comfortable/experienced with primitive-type breeds. I am also currently working towards my first aid certification!
Reviews

Catherine was fantastic with Saber! She gave us regular updates and pictures. We know Saber had a great time when she came home tired and happy! Catherine was also flexible when we had cancelled travel plans and we would definitely have Saber stay again!

Cat went above and beyond to meet us with Charlie beforehand and assess his needs and likes. She was attentive to his needs as a senior dog and communicated questions and pics regularly. She clearly loves dogs. I highly recommend her!

Cat was great with my dogs and very responsive and provided lots of updates. I highly recommend her.

catherine was so patient with our henry! he was a little anxious when we dropped him off and she was so understanding and accommodating in making him feel as comfortable as possible. we appreciated all the updates she sent!
