I am retired and always home. I spend my days gardening, cooking, squirrel and bird-watching, helping at church, and making greeting cards. My two dogs are with me the entire day. We will give your pup lots of company and love. I prefer to sit for one client at a time and max two dogs at a time. I look forward to meeting you and your pups. It's a good day any day that you meet new friends with fur. They bring joy to life.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a 1/2 acre and a huge fenced yard for play and romping. Your dog will not be put outside for any length of time without my oversight. I am frequently out in the yard, relaxing, weeding, planting and pruning. Safety is number one and focused, pleasant care are my priorities. I want to be sure that the pups have my undivided attention. My two small dogs and I will give your pup lots of company assuring that he or she is acclimated and gets to know us. Our home is comfortable and happy. Does your pup enjoy endless belly rubs? Mine do and I have plenty to share. I prefer to sit for one client and max two dogs at a time. Photos of your pup's day are provided, if requested. I feed my dogs twice a day and give them one treat after their meals. I will feed your dogs at the time of day you prefer. We will only give your pup treats that you provide. I will follow your feeding schedule and administer meds if needed. My early career was 20 years as a hospital clinical laboratory scientist and then as a director. I've medicated my dogs and horses and given shots, so I know all the techniques needed to administer meds for your dog. Be assured, I recognize a dog's body language if in pain, stressed, or sick and will notify you immediately of any serious issues. I will follow your instructions if vet services are needed. My senior dog, Vivvie requires a special diet, so I make homemade dog food, veterinarian approved. No table scraps for her or for dogs in my care.

Information Catherine B. would like to know about your pet
Please make sure you provide lots of detail on the Rover website about your dogs and the care you prefer, so we can be matched up correctly. I prefer to meet dogs before they stay in our home, so I'd like to schedule a Meet and Greet before deciding if we are compatible. It's important to know your pet's eating, sleeping, and bathroom habits. Also, we'll discuss any medications, immunizations, and health issues, if there are any. I want to give your pups an stress-free, comfortable stay. Let's connect and discuss concerns or other information before the boarding dates.
A typical day
I'm home all day. I enjoy walking my dogs, weather permitting along my woodsy, tree-lined, cut-de-sac road (no traffic). I will include walks for your dog, if you choose that service at an additional fee. During the hot weather walks are in the early mornings. I have plenty of toys for playing inside and in the yard. Bring your pup's favorite toys, if you like. Your pup will sleep in my bedroom with us, on his bed or in his crate, as you prefer. The love seat in my bed room is comfy, too! I also do day care for my daughter's senior lab some days. A couple times a week I have to leave for an hour or two. Your pup can be crated or simply be there with my dogs. I love how they greet me when I return like I've been gone for days.

Pet care experience
Our dogs have always been family and I can't recall any time in my entire life when I haven't had a dog at my side, sometimes two or three. I've had dogs of all sizes and energy levels. The longest boarding was for two months while the pup parent traveled in Asia. I've had dogs on my small ranch in NV and we rode trails together. They moved with me to CO and we enjoyed the mountains and front range together. I drove cross-country many times with my dogs, stayed in hotels and visited friends and family with them. My dogs are always a priority in all we do and I will care for your pups as I do mine. Be assured that I will follow any special instructions you give to provide your pet a safe, happy, stress-free stay. I recently rescued a deaf puppy who was in the middle of the road, and took care of her until a new, loving home was secured. I checked on her later and she is happy with her people and dog family.
Reviews

She does an amazing job every time she’s sitting our dog. She sends us pictures and videos every day so we can see our baby girl activities.

Cathy was a great sitter and took excellent care of our pet. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her, and we plan to book her again.

Catherine was amazing! She took great care of Sam and gave us plenty of updates on how he was doing. I will definitely be rebooking with her!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ms. Catherine was absolutely wonderful with Francois and Girbaud! From the moment we met her, I could tell she had a genuine love for animals and a calm, nurturing spirit that immediately put the boys at ease. She went above and beyond every step of the way—sending adorable photo updates, keeping me informed, and making sure they were comfortable, entertained, and well cared for the entire time. When I got home, both dogs were happy, relaxed, and delightfully tired—which to any dog parent means they had a great time! It’s clear she gave them plenty of exercise, play, and affection. Ms. Catherine treated them as if they were her own, and I truly appreciate her kindness, patience, and reliability. I can’t recommend her enough. If you’re looking for someone who’s attentive, trustworthy, and genuinely loves what she does, Ms. Catherine is the one. Francois, Girbaud, and I are so grateful to have found her! 🐾❤️
