Experienced animal caregiver
I am a responsible, reliable, and experienced animal lover. I have adopted 14 total dogs and cats of my own over the years. I have also been a volunteer through the Humane Society, Boxer Rescue Ontario (BRO), and the SPCA over the years. I am currently an approved foster mom for BRO and have had 18 foster dogs in our home over the past few years. I have learned a ton from that experience and my other volunteer work and have applied it with my own fur babies and others that I have looked after for family and friends. I would treat your pet as my own for the duration of their stay and/or the time I spend caring for them.

Catherine took wonderful care of our cat, Lulu, while we were away. She visited as scheduled, made sure Lulu was fed, and spent plenty of time petting and playing with her. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos she sent, which gave us peace of mind knowing Lulu was happy and well cared for. Catherine treated Lulu as if she were her own pet. We came home to a happy, relaxed cat, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend Catherine to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive pet sitter!

Schedule
I have recently taken early retirement from a corporate "9 to 5" job. I like to keep busy and have a lot of time now for my volunteer work and for animal care through Rover.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large fully fenced backyard that my pets and visiting pets would play in safely. I do not let my dogs or any others in my care outside of the yard in an off leash situation. When going outside of my home, your pets and mine will be managed on leash for their safety. Also, being a fur mom myself, we do not leave anything on counters or around the home that dogs or cats could get into for their own safety. In a home visit situation, I will treat your fur baby and your home with the utmost care and respect as if it were my own home.
Pets
A typical day
When I watch your pets we will spend a lot of time outdoors, walking or playing in our fenced yard. I will take my direction from you on what your pet likes. They will also receive lots of affection and pets during their time spent with me. With cats, I will play with those who enjoy it and give affection to them as tolerated by each cat.
