Hi! I'm Catharine and have two children, Amanda and Hudson, ages 13 and 12. We're a fun-loving, adventurous and outdoorsy family. We spend a lot of time enjoying the fresh air mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking. In fact, we even podcast about it on LiveWild Radio. if you want to Google it and learn more about us. Rover started as an amazing Covid hobby for us and turned into a wonderful family of dog friends. I'm a professional with the flexibility of working from home most days of the week. We love the companionship and activity dogs add to our lives. We also really enjoy learning about the dog breeds and each dog's personality. My children shower dogs with love and attention, meanwhile we're sensitive if the dog prefers their space or to just cuddle.. Our home setup is dog-friendly including an open concept home, fenced yard, play area in our home gym and access to nature trails and parks nearby. My home office also overlooks the backyard with quick access via the kitchen. We've cared for dogs for several years now and have also helped families socialize their pups and learned helpful training techniques which we are happy to share. We are also quite knowledgeable, comfortable and experienced in caring for dogs with separation anxiety. As we often have other dogs here, we ask that your dog's vaccination is up to date. Catharine is always great with Remi! Remi can be a hard dog to handle for anyone inexperienced with Huskies, but Catharine is extremely experienced and she's the only sitter we trust
Catharine and her family went above and beyond in their care for Ollie this past week. After having a really traumatic experience with a prior dog sitter, we were so happy to find them. The daily check-ins, photos and videos were so appreciated. Even before they watched Ollie for an extended time, Catharine conducted a very thorough intake interview and a meet and greet so that Ollie was familiar with their space. 100% would recommend! 5+⭐️

We recently adopted Daisy (our 80+ lb lap dog), and because of her size, we were nervous about finding the right fit for her first time away from us. From the very first message and phone call, through to a meet & greet, Catharine was welcoming and clearly confident in handling large dogs. Daisy had a bit of trouble settling in on her first night, and Catharine immediately reached out to collaborate with us on how to make her comfortable. Throughout the 5-night stay, Daisy was treated like family and Catharine provided fantastic updates and photos - long walks, patio lunches, lots of sun-bathing and fun :) When we picked Daisy up, she was happy, exhausted, and clearly incredibly well-loved. Catharine is professional, communicative, and truly an expert caregiver. We will absolutely be rebooking for future trips when available!
Our guy recently had a 5 day stay with Catharine and the entire experience was stellar. From the initial contact, Catharine has a solid process in place that left me reassured that we'd chosen correctly. Her communication while we were away was fantastic. I'm pretty sure she took more pictures for me than I've taken in 3 years, and I really did get the sense that my dog was a little disappointed he didn't just live with her now. I cannot recommend Catharine enough, and we will 100% rebook. Thanks Catharine to you and your entire family!
Meadow and Blue stayed with Catherine for 9 nights and had a great time. Catherine provided daily updates to let me know how my dogs were doing. My dogs had a couple of issues during the stay and Catherine was open and respectful in all communication and clearly wanted what was best for my dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
My home is dog friendly in that I have an open concept home where the dog stays with me meanwhile, I have a fenced yard which my office overlooks and is immediately accessible to. We seek dogs that are well socialized with other dogs and updated vaccinations as we often have several furry friends on the weekend.
A typical day
We love walking through the nearby parks, and forest trails and taking dogs with us to Downtown Hespeler during festivities or events. We also love playing with dog toys and throwing the ball or frisbee. Photography is a passion of mine and I do enjoy taking pictures of your pet and am happy to share those with you. :)
