Animal Lover Hoping 2 Meet Your Pet
Hello!! My name is Cate and I am a HUGE animal lover. In 2017 I became a weekly volunteer at a local animal shelter volunteer. I have had various side gigs as a pet sitter for local families for many years. The duties included: walking, playing, feeding, cleaning, etc. for majority cats and dogs. My favorite part about pet sitting is sending their owners photo updates to show that their beloved pet is happy and safe. I started in October 2017 as a weekend dog walker at the Medfield Animal Shelter. I would individually walk 1-5 dogs each Saturday afternoon. Outside of my walking duties, I would also provide meals/treats and administer medication as needed. It is more than just volunteering to me, it is a form of self care. Dogs are very caring, loving, accepting animals and I enjoy each of their personalities and stories. I now work every Saturday with the cats providing dinner, TLC, medications and tidying their spaces. It is something I look forward to all week long. My full time job is as a high school guidance counselor. This allows for increased availability during school vacation weeks and summer months. I DO NOT take on jobs that are recurring as I cannot commit to each day after work. I try to be as accommodating and flexible as possible. I am a dependable, punctual and trustworthy adult who will respect your home and space. I will carefully follow all directions and tasks to make sure you feel your pet is safe in my care. I truly care for any animal like it is my own as it is my responsibility to ensure that my services are positive and beneficial to both you and your pet.

I prioritize following all pets routines in their own home so they feel most secure and comfortable without their pet parent(s). I always spend the allotted amount of time interacting as much as possible with the pet but also respect the boundaries they have based on their personality.

Once again Cate was absolutely wonderful! Our cats immediately recognized her and were much more comfortable with us being gone because she was checking in!
Cate is absolutely spectacular! One of cats is very skittish around people and in just a few visits he was out from under the bed, playing, and even sitting in her lap! Cate is incredibly responsive, very attentive to the boys, and super communicative while we were away (including sending tons of pictures of them hanging out!). We will absolutely be using Cate again!!!

Schedule
For the months of July and August I am off on summer vacation as I work in a public school system. I have increased availability during these times. I still enjoy pet sitting on the side during school months, especially vacation weeks, but have slightly less flexibility due to working 730am -230pm. With that being said, I do always try to make it work for the pet owner if they seek my services.
