Availability
Most of my work shifts are either 12-7pm, 10-4pm, 1-7pm, I get 2 random days off per week as well. As for walking, it would need to be scheduled to happen around an hour after I come home from work (mostly 8pm) unless I’m off that day. If I’m caring for your dog while you’re away, I’m able to stop by at any time before 12pm to do whatever is needed, as well as come back around 8pm. If your dog needs more care than that my partner works opposite shifts as me so she can also stop by when I cannot, unless you are uncomfortable with another person. If you need me to stay overnight I can do that as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I moved out of my family home about 2 years ago and currently don’t live with a pet, but planning to get a dog next year. My parents own a basset hound that is my whole heart. When I have to watch her we can’t do too much, she’s slow moving, but when I have my own dog I plan to take it on nature trails, play with toys at home, anything active I love!! Unless your pet is unable to do a lot of physical activity. If that’s the case I could read them a book! :) We actually have an add-on at our facility called story time, reading to your pet is actually very beneficial!
Information Cassie V. would like to know about your pet
Let me know about any medical issues or behavioral issues/concerns ahead of time. I am confident in working with more timid or shy dogs, whether it be they’re scared and need to warm up or maybe just not used to a stranger in the house. This is not something I handle being fearful, I strive to make your pet comfortable and show them I’m there for them.
A typical day
If permitted, I would love to take your dog to some simple nature trails and picnic or ride with me to get a pup cup! I used to take a dog to first landing state park but I understand if that is too big of a place, I do know a lot of simple areas as well. If staying at the home is preferred and your pet is physically active I’ll end up finding something fun to do with them. Whether it’s toys or running around your yard, maybe some training attempts haha, or just reading a book and lounging.

Pet care experience
My name is Cassie, I’m 24 years old and I’ve had a chocolate lab and two basset hounds throughout my life and I’m familiar with care for dogs of all ages. I’ve also been working at Cosmos Corner, a doggy daycare/grooming/boarding and training facility for 2 years and 3 months. We see over 100 dogs come in each day and over 200 on holidays. I have extensive experience in dog body language, I’ve worked with so many different breeds and temperaments, and I have confidence in my ability to strive in high stress situations. Your dog/s will be very safe and cared for. My partner has also been working at this facility for over 2 yrs, so if anything were to happen (maybe you have a last min schedule change or i’m running behind) there is a second person also available to assist. I will eventually be pursuing a career involving dogs as well.
Reviews

THE BEST PET SITTER WE HAVE HAD EVER!! I would 1000% hire Cassie again for any dog sitting or pet sitting I need in the future. I received a ton of photos showing just how much fun my dogs were having and honestly they probably wish we went away more often now!
