I have worked in multiple types of animal care facilities, including: a large humane society in Southern Indiana, a high volume spay/neuter clinic, and a small family veterinary practice. I held a variety of roles at these companies, all of which had varying degrees of animal handling and care. My favorite was the high volume spay/neuter clinic. We spayed and neutered approximately 80-100 dogs and cats each day. My job was to give medications, clean ears, and help these animals wake up safely after surgery. My husband and I have four cats and four dogs (and two kiddos!). Our cats have their own room in our house with 4 large cat trees and lots of comfy beds to sleep on. Our dogs get free roam of the house and enjoy running in our large fenced in backyard. We have three amazing dogs that would be happy to play with your pups in our big fenced in back yard. Our four cats would probably enjoy some company too :) Our dogs don't use a crate, but we do have a medium sized crate, a small crate, and a large crate that we keep in the basement for a rainy day....or for your crate trained pup to use when they stay with us! Because we have two small children, we don't leave the house much these days so your pet would not be left alone much at all. We have gates set up in our home to be able to fence the kids or animals in certain rooms if there is a situation where someone doesn't get along. We have the ability to have my dad take one or more of our pets if they don't get along with yours for some reason. We've thought of it all! We just want to help you care for your pets and give them all the loving while you enjoy your vacation.
