I grew up with animals from birth. We had cats, dogs, ducks and even a sheep! Later, when I left home, I owned two gorgeous house rabbits and now I have two dogs - a Whippet and a Lurcher who I adore. I trained both of my dogs from puppies and have a lot of experience with this. I also have experience with senior dogs since I helped care for my Mum's dogs in the last months of their lives. My Lurcher is reactive on walks so I have years of experience. I know the signs if she is feeling uncomfortable. If you have a reactive dog, I know how worrying it can be to let a stranger look after them. I will go out of my way to ensure you and your dog feel at ease. If you have certain requirements such as walks in quiet areas, or walking on lead only, I will listen and do what you feel is best for your dog. I am always willing to walk my dogs separately to yours if your dog prefers to go solo and I won't walk my dogs with any breeds my Lurcher is reactive to. If your furry friend loves to walk in a gang, we can meet up first and see how they get on! My Lurcher adores smaller breeds, like spaniels, cockapoos etc or overtly happy hounds. I believe in treating all animals with empathy, sensitivity and kindness. They deserve nothing less! I have looked after pets for friends, including drop-ins for cats and hamsters, walking dogs and looking after dogs overnight.
