Pet care experience
Veterinary worker and animal lover
Hi! My name is Cassi, and animals have been a huge part of my life for over 5 years. I have experience caring for animals in veterinary clinics, emergency medicine, and animal shelters, so I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities! I currently work at a veterinary clinic in Benton as a veterinary technician, and I have also worked in an emergency veterinary clinic as a technician and at an animal shelter where I cared for a wide variety of animals. Because of my veterinary experience, I’m comfortable recognizing when something seems “off” and know how to safely care for pets with medical or special needs. One of my biggest strengths is caring for pets who require medications or extra attention. I’m experienced with administering oral medications, injections, and insulin, and I’m comfortable following detailed medication schedules and special care instructions. I also have a soft spot for senior pets! I personally cared for my senior hound who was diabetic, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and extra care can be for older pets. I’m also very comfortable with anxious, shy, or more difficult pets. Working in veterinary medicine and animal shelters has taught me that every animal is different. Whether your pet is a happy-go-lucky dog who wants to play all day, a nervous pup who needs some time to warm up, or a shy kitty who prefers to hide and observe, I’m happy to meet them where they are and give them the care they’re comfortable with. I have plenty of experience with dogs as well! While working at the shelter, I regularly took dogs on walks and hikes, played with them, and worked with dogs with all kinds of temperaments. I love getting outside, going for walks, playing, and making sure pets get the exercise and enrichment they need. I also have a young Beagle puppy of my own, Maisie, who is very friendly and would love a playmate! If your dog enjoys other dogs and you’re comfortable with it, Maisie can tag along for walks or visits. Of course, this is completely optional and I’m happy to provide one-on-one care if your pet would prefer to have me all to themselves. Most importantly, I want your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions. I also understand how reassuring it is to know how your pet is doing while you’re gone, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout my visits. Whether your pet needs a simple potty break and some playtime, a long walk, medication, senior care, or just someone to keep them company while you're away, I would love the opportunity to care for them! Your pets are family, and I’ll treat them like my own. ❤️🐾

Safety, trust & environment
I care for every pet according to their individual routine, personality, and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. This includes following feeding schedules, providing fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications, and plenty of attention and companionship. I’m very comfortable following detailed care instructions and caring for pets with special needs, including senior pets and pets requiring medications or insulin injections. I also understand that some pets are nervous or anxious around new people, so I’m patient and allow them to warm up to me at their own pace. I always prioritize safety and supervision, and I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so owners know how their pets are doing. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for just as they would be at home. ❤️🐾
Ratings and reviews
I have personally trusted Cassandra H. to care for my dog, Sam, and I couldn’t recommend her more! She currently works as a Vet Tech and is studying in the Vet program in collage, which is reassuring that she knows how to care for animals. Sam absolutely loves her, and I can tell how comfortable, happy, and well-loved he feels in her care. Cassandra is kind, responsible, trustworthy, and truly has such a genuine love for animals. She goes above and beyond to make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for as if they were her own. She is also wonderful with communication and send me pictures and videos of Sam while I am away, which gives me complete peace of mind. Cassandra is an amazing person with a huge heart, and I would trust her with Sam anytime!
Cassie is a very reliable, caring person to care for and walk your dog. She did a wonderful job for me when I had surgery and was unable to walk my dog. Tiggie was very excited to see Cassie every time she came to my door, so I know she took good care of him. I would totally trust and recommend Cassie for loving care of your fur baby.
I can’t recommend Cassi enough! She has watched both my dog and my cat for me, and I always feel completely comfortable leaving them in her care. She is dependable, loving, and treats my pets like they are her own. I never have to worry about them when they’re with her, and I know they’re getting plenty of attention, love, and care. She’s someone I trust completely with my pets and would absolutely use her again!
Cassi is hands down one of the most attentive and caring pet sitters I’ve ever known. She is responsible, trustworthy, and animals immediately warm up to her calm and loving energy. She treats every pet like family, sticks to schedules flawlessly, and keeps you updated so you never have to worry while you're away. I couldn't recommend her more!

Schedule
I am currently in school and work at a veterinary clinic part time but I am mostly free in the mornings and late afternoons. I am free most weekends. My schedule can vary so we can 100% work out times that work for you!
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsCassandra can host up to 10 drop-ins per day
- Before caring for your pet, I’d love to know anything that will help me give them the best possible care. This includes their normal routine, feeding schedule, medications, allergies or medical conditions, favorite activities and toys, things they are afraid of, and how they behave around people and other animals. I’d also like to know about any quirks or behaviors that might be helpful to know ahead of time, whether your dog pulls on walks, your cat likes to hide when new people come over, or your pet has a particular routine they’re used to. No detail is too small! The more I know about your pet beforehand, the better I can make them feel comfortable and cared for.
