Experience: -I've had dogs in my life since 2005 - and I began being the primary caretaker in 2009. I have had dogs from puppy stage through senior (I currently have 2 - 12 yrs & 10 yrs). -I have been a dog sitter & dog walker since 2005 and have taken on families with dogs & cats of all sizes (typically ranging up to 4 pets) :) I have experience with both low and high energy animals! - I am an AVID animal rescue volunteer. I currently volunteer with Austin Pets Alive! and the Austin German Shepherd Rescue. While living in Tennessee, I was Medical Director for a golden retriever rescue (Adopt a Golden Knoxville) (3 yrs, but I continue to help remotely!) (This is why i have so many pictures with goldens!). All in all - I love dogs and I feel highly qualified on how to care for them and know when an animal is having a medical emergency and how to proceed. I have dealt with many different behavioral challenges including aggressive or anxious animals, escape artists, and dogs with extensive medical needs (as Medical Director, I made a point to foster the ones needing most extensive care). I take pride in caring for animals. I work in sports medicine so my schedule is wonky sometimes and often leaves me with free time in the middle of the day so I have plenty of time to take care of pets and truly enjoy doing it!!

Safety, trust & environment
I typically try to only do dog sitting as I have two dogs of my own, with one being a senior but am not totally adverse to adding fur friends to my home - my old man just gets knocked over easily and needs a more relaxed animal. For all pets, I typically start with a potty break in the yard (if applicable) then check food/water, and then we go for a walk! I think it is important to check in at least a couple times a day.

Cassandra was amazing with our cat! We were gone for a week and she checked in on him daily and sent thorough updates. With her background and communication to us, we had no worries during our trip! He was in great hands- we will absolutely use Cassandra again!

Schedule
I have grown up with animals my whole life and have mastered the balance of pet care with my daily life. I cherish a good morning and evening walk and like to start and end my day that way. I am an early riser, which makes it much easier on me to add fur visits! During the summer, as I work with a school district, I have unlimited hours to check in. During the school year, I have periodic breaks throughout the day in which I am able to check on my dogs, as well as a flexible schedule to allow me to make sure I have time to check on all furry friends! I often start my morning walking/feeding my dogs, then running over to fur friends prior to working. Typically at midday I will go home to walk my dogs, then continue work until conclusion and go see furry friends, after which I return home and care for my dogs once again!
