Pet care fits into my weekly routine during my dedicated availability times. I am available Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons, and all day Sundays, which allows me to consistently focus on providing reliable and attentive care during those periods. I enjoy spending that time walking and caring for dogs, making sure they get exercise, attention, and a positive experience on every visit. I work at an urgent care in Visalia on weekdays but aside from that I have plenty of time to care for pets!

I like to learn their daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medical needs or medications. I also ask about their personality whether they’re shy, energetic, anxious, or super social so I can approach them in a way that makes them feel safe and comfortable. I always like to know their likes and dislikes (favorite toys, treats, or triggers), how they do on walks, and how they interact with other animals or people. It’s also helpful to know any house rules you have, like furniture boundaries or crate training. The more I know, the better I can make your pet feel at home and keep their routine consistent while you’re away

A typical day with the pets I watch is centered around making them feel comfortable, loved, and keeping their routine as normal as possible. In the morning, I start with feeding, fresh water, and a potty break or walk. Throughout the day, I make time for play, cuddles, and check ins, while also keeping an eye on their behavior to make sure they’re happy and healthy. I’m very attentive to each pet’s specific needs, whether that means giving medication, sticking to a feeding schedule, or just providing extra reassurance for more anxious pets. Evenings usually include another walk, dinner, and winding down with some calm time before bed. For fun activities, I love keeping pets engaged in ways that match their personality and energy level. For more active dogs, I enjoy going on walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, or exploring new safe areas. For calmer or older pets, I focus on gentle play, enrichment toys, and lots of affection. If they’re comfortable, I also enjoy light training or reinforcing good habits with treats and praise. My goal is always to make sure they’re not just cared for, but genuinely enjoying their time while you’re away.
