Safety, trust & environment
I strive to take care of your animals like they are my own. My goal is to make your pets feel as comfortable as possible while their parents are away. I always strive to leave your home better than you left it, and always clean up your pets' accidents ASAP! Part of my services will include a plethora of photos and videos of your pets. I believe that this helps ensure trust and build accountability. I know I miss my pets when I am away, so I always do my best to keep clients in the loop about what their pets and I are up to while they are away - on a walk, going on a potty break, playing inside, having a treat, etc. Security is incredibly important to me too. I will never leave your home unlocked, even if your pet and I are only stepping out for a short walk. If you have home alarm systems, I would be more than happy to arm those before I leave as well. I always communicate with clients before my stay about how to secure their households and how I will return any keys as necessary after the duration of my services.
Information Casey P. would like to know about your pet
Let me know your dog's medical history and any current medications! I would also like to know if they have any triggers or if they are reactive with certain people/animals/sounds so that I can create the safest environment for your pet. Let me know any other habits of theirs, such as how often they eat, how long they like to walk for, or unique ways they communicate with you! I would also be more than happy to add your vet to my contacts list in case of any emergencies. I would also like to know how you would like your pet's waste disposed of and when trash should be taken out to the curb. Let me know where your pet normally likes to walk outside and where their collar/leash/harness are located. If you own a cat or other small pet that doesn't readily use a collar/leash, feel free to let me know where their crate is located in case of emergency as well.
A typical day
I believe both mental and physical stimulation are important for a pet to live a happy and healthy life. I enjoy playing lots of engaging games with your pet and taking them on walks for as long as they would like. When I arrive, I always greet your pets. I make sure to open the doors carefully as to not let any animals outside as I am coming in. Before I focus on your pet, I ensure that the door is fully closed and locked behind me. Then, I scan the area for any potential messes that your pet has made (accidents, pulling things off of tables, etc.) and work to clean those up first. Then, my full attention goes to your pet. I enjoy talking to them while we get ready to go outside for a walk/potty-break. I like to let your pets decide where and how long (both within reason) we spend outside. I watch for changes in behavior and body language that may indicate your pet is getting tired or too hot/cold, especially on a summer/winter day. I take particular note for older pets and especially large/small or fluffy pets. I encourage your pets to explore, sniff, and scratch when we are outside and I always keep pets on a leash! I actively scan the environment throughout our outdoor time to ensure your pet is as safe as possible from other animals, people, and vehicles. When we return inside, I encourage your pet to drink water and refill their bowl immediately. I will often spend time sitting down with them to wind down after a walk. If they have any remaining energy, I enjoy playing games with your pet or simply having a conversation with them. While I know they might not understand much of what we say, I think that talking to your pets is beneficial both for your pet and myself!

Pet care experience
I have experience working with lots of pets from cats and dogs to fish and lizards! I own two cats that I have raised since they were kittens and keep my own 10 gallon aquarium. I have also raised my bearded dragon (who eats lots of bugs, so I am comfortable with anything!). I have even pet-sit for diabetic animals! I am comfortable with every animal and am willing to go the extra mile for your pets care, whether that be delivering medicines or taking them out for extra bathroom breaks! I offer the same services you provide to your pet. If you need your pet in a crate, I am comfortable doing so! If your pet eats a special diet, let me know and I will do my best to replicate your dish for your animal! I am also comfortable taking your pets on long and short walks, offering bathroom breaks, cleaning up any accidents your pet may have, and meeting any other requests for services you may have!

Reviews

Fantastic experience. Great communication and a pleasure to work with. Would certainly request again. Thank you so much Casey.

Casey was phenomenal with our pup! Loved being able to communicate with her and she even sent the cutest photos of our pup! I will definitely be using Casey for all of our future drop in, babysitting, and doggie care! Thank you Casey !!!

Casey was amazing!! Could not have ask for a better dog sitter.
Casey has taken care of my 4 cats multiple times for up to 2 weeks at a time. They are always fed on time, played with, pet, and kept happy. She also brushes them if they seem to need it. Their litter boxes are always cleaned very well and the area surrounding them is kept neat and clean. She always pays close attention to them and is sure to let us know of any strange behavior or anything that could be a sign of sickness/injury. She has given my cats medications multiple times in many forms including pills, liquid, and powder to mix into their food. The cats are always happy to see her and have grown to love her. She always sends lots of pictures and videos to let us know how they’re doing as well!
