I have grown up with dogs my whole life and had 4 family dogs, I also used to dog sit regularly a few years ago and have looked after all sorts of dogs from excitable young dogs needing long walks to older dogs who required asthma pumps and medication (true story!).

Schedule
I work from home three days a week in a desk-based job, so I love having a reason to step away from my desk and get some fresh air at lunchtime. This means I’m able to fit regular walks, playtime and attention into my day while still being around at home. I also rarely have weekend plans, so I have plenty of flexibility for pet care. I love getting out for longer walks at the weekend and getting my steps in, so I’d be very happy to have a dog join me!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a secure, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely spend time outside, and I’m able to take them on frequent walks throughout the day. I don’t have any children or other pets in the home, and I would only look after one dog at a time, so they’ll have my full attention. I’ll make sure your dog has a safe, calm and comfortable environment and will follow any specific routines or instructions you provide. I’m also happy to keep them close by while I work from home so they have company throughout the day.
A typical day
I work from home, so I’m able to give pets plenty of attention and company throughout the day. I like to start the day with a walk and some time to play before settling into work. Throughout the day, I’ll take regular breaks to give pets some attention, let them outside if needed and have a bit of playtime or cuddles. I’m happy to adapt to each pet’s usual routine, whether they prefer lots of activity and attention or are happier having a quiet day relaxing nearby while I work. After finishing work, I’ll usually head out for another walk, followed by some downtime at home. I’m also happy to keep to feeding, walking and medication routines and follow any specific instructions from owners. On the weekend I can go on longer walks if younger dogs require it.
