Not only do I have over 30 years of personal pet experience, I've got decades of experience fostering pets of all types and volunteering with animals! My career is working with marine invertebrates and fish, plus at home I care for birds, reptiles, amphibians fresh water fish and shrimp, insects and a large senior dog! Dogs are my favorite people, and I really enjoying getting to know each pup and providing them exactly what they need to feel stimulated, safe and happy. I'm happy to train your pup with the commands and treats of your choosing and do some light grooming along with walks(or car rides with the window down for the most senior doggos if you prefer!)

Casey was a pleasure to work with! She's thorough and an exceptional communicator! She was flexible with the meet and greet and my 2 giants immediately took to her. She was great going through the boys routine and I felt comfortable and confident leaving them under her care. During her first visit, we got great updates and all went great. Definitely one of those souls that is more in touch with animals and a calming, down to earth energy about her. We would be happy to work with Casey again soon!
Casey went above and beyond in caring for our dog Murphy. We were traveling to Bellingham to move our daughter into an apartment at college, and Casey was so flexible regarding drop off time. This helped so much since we hit a ton of traffic on our way, and we were late getting into town. She even met us at our daughter's apartment complex to pick Murphy up, which took so much stress off a very hectic day. Casey is a super communicator. She let me know how Murphy was doing, and got in touch when she had some questions. And most importantly, Murphy absolutely loved Casey. He was happy and calm when we picked him up. Casey sent him off with a raw bone for the car ride home--so thoughtful! This was, by far, the best dogsitting experience we've had yet with Murphy. We will happily rebook with Casey any time we need dogsitting in Bellingham. I know Murphy can't wait to see her again!!
I'm writing to share my wonderful experience with Casey as a pet sitter. Over the past year, Casey has taken care of my two dogs and a cat multiple times, and I couldn't be happier with the care and attention they provided. Casey is incredibly reliable and always makes sure my pets are well-fed, exercised, and loved while I'm away. Casey has a natural affinity with animals and quickly built a strong bond with my pets. My dogs, who can be a bit shy with new people, warmed up to Casey right away, and my cat, who usually keeps to herself, even started seeking out Casey for cuddles. It's clear that Casey genuinely loves animals and goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable and happy. In addition to being great with my pets, Casey is also very respectful of my home. She leaves everything clean and tidy, and I always come back to happy pets and a well-maintained house. Schedule
I'm a mom! And I'm passionate about animal care. Weekends are easiest for me to give your pet a LOT of attention, if needed. But I can do weekday care as well with my flexible schedule. If your dog has a favorite walking place, I'm happy to travel with them there if it's in town. My dog loved the Lake Padden dog park in his youth, even though we went to many dog parks! I know how important it is for most dogs to keep their routine!

Safety, trust & environment
I prefer to visit your home to care for your pets. They will usually feel more comfortable in their own home. If your doggo needs to shadow someone at all times to feel secure, we can talk about your pup staying at my home instead. My senior dog loves a good cuddle partner or romp in the big fenced yard out back! Dogs that stay at my home would have a choice of sleeping on the dog bed in my room or on the bed with me and my pup. Or, there is also the choice of sleeping in my kid's room as well, if your dog prefers older kids who are great with dogs!
A typical day
Every dog has it's own needs, so this would change based on what the dog or dogs require. I have several options in the back yard for dogs to enjoy, from large balls to a sprinkler to a chuck it and endless tennis balls! The interurban trail head is just a few minutes away, and the beach is a nice morning or evening walk away. The dog park is also just around the corner!
