Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m recently retired, so I have a flexible schedule. I assist in caring for two preteens and have pets of my own, so I’m already used to managing routines, walks, feeding times, and playtime.

At this time, I’m not able to care for pets in my own home, so I focus on providing care in my clients’ homes. I believe pets are most comfortable in their own environment, and I do my best to follow their usual routine as closely as possible.

Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their routine, personality, and needs. It’s important for me to know their feeding schedule, walking routine, favorite toys, and any medical needs or medications.
A typical day
I like to keep pets happy and comfortable based on their personality and energy level. For dogs, that means going on walks, playing with toys, and spending time outside on a leash. I enjoy giving them plenty of attention, exercise, and cuddle time. For cats, I focus on gentle play with toys, brushing if they enjoy it, and quiet time together. I also make sure they have a calm, relaxing space when they want to rest. I pay attention to what each pet enjoys most and try to make our time together fun, safe, and stress-free. My goal is always for them to feel loved and cared for while you’re away.

I’ve had dogs my whole life, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. Being a retired nurse, I’m very patient, dependable, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to routines, medications, and noticing when something doesn’t seem quite right.

Caryl is awesome and I highly recommend her. I love her, the dogs love her, and she does a fantastic job. She handled multiple medicine routines with no problem and took excellent care of both the animals and my home. And she sent plenty of pictures to show me how well everyone was doing.

Caryl was so AMAZING! My dog is somewhat challenging, especially at first! Caryl was calm and willing to do what it takes to make sure my dog was comfortable. I loved the updates and pictures she sent as well. I had not one worry while I was away with her in charge! My dog absolutely loves Caryl and we have already scheduled her again! Just a pleasant, sweet, and calm person. She is just wonderful!
