Hi there! My name is Carrie, and I’ve always had a love for dogs and caring for animals. In high school, I participated in a program with C.O.P.E Service Dogs where I helped train Golden Retrievers twice a week. Through the program I learned basic obedience training, handling skills, and how to work with dogs in public environments. I also took part in special events such as visiting a local elementary school for a reading buddy program with kindergarten students and the dogs, as well as training outings at the mall. I still have my training credentials and paperwork from this program and would love to continue using those skills to help care for other people’s companions. Outside of that experience, I regularly help care for family dogs by dog sitting while they are away, so I’m very comfortable with different routines and personalities. My partner and I own our home, which has a fully fenced yard that’s perfect for safe playtime. We’re also lucky to have beautiful walking trails and creeks right behind our house, making it a great environment for walks, exercise, and outdoor adventures. Your dog will be treated like part of the family while they’re here. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. Carrie has taken care of my two dogs several times and she has done an excellent job. She has stayed in my home and has always left it in perfect condition. My pups love Carrie and she always sends pictures and videos to keep me updated. I would highly recommended Carrie to anyone looking for a pet sitter.
Carrie spent two years in my service dog training program and she was incredible. She was dependable and very patient with the dogs. She was one of the very best trainers we had. She has a natural ability to understand the needs of animals.

Schedule
I currently work Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but I’m available on wednesdays/weekends for dog sitting and dog walking. However, I will be on mat leave starting in May and will be open availability in August. We have a fully fenced yard and are lucky to have a trail with a creek right behind our home, which makes for great trail walks and outdoor time. On weekends, we open our home to up to two additional dogs so they can play and socialize with our friendly dog, Nova. 🐾

The yard is fenced, I will be going out with them personally to ensure bathroom breaks are taken and that they get some outside, as well as myself getting some fresh air.

A typical day
I love keeping dogs active, happy, and engaged while they’re in my care. We’ll spend time playing in our fully fenced yard, going on trail walks behind our house, and exploring the creek area (weather permitting). I also enjoy playing fetch, tug-of-war, and doing basic training or mental stimulation games to keep dogs thinking and learning.
