About Carrie L.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I follow instructions well, and find keeping a pet’s familiar routine helps to minimize any stress they may feel. I like to first give your pet time and space to get to know me and feel relaxed being around me. Hanging out/playing and getting exercise, based on your pet’s individual needs are important for their overall health. I communicate updates on your pet’s interactions with me, how they are doing and answer promptly any questions you may have.
Information Carrie L. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog or cat has any special needs. What are things that make them feel comfortable and what are things they dislike and should be avoided. Does your pet have separation anxiety? It is important to outline your pet's health concerns, habits and your expectations at the meet and greet, before booking. When a sit starts, it is not appropriate to add extra expectations if they were not previously discussed and agreed upon.
A typical day
For House Sitting, I love to explore new areas when walking with your dog, especially any places filled with nature. The fresh air, exercise and socializing with other dogs are important for their physical and mental health, as long as they are comfortable around other dogs. I’m an affectionate person and like to cuddle pets and also let your pet rest when returning home after being physically active. With cats, any special toys, pen light, etc. they like, I enjoy entertaining them with.

Pet Care at Your Home
Pet care experience
I have been professionally pet/house sitting for 8 years and love it. For HOUSE SITTING, I will stay at your home, while you are away. Your pets will feel more at ease in familiar surroundings and following their regular, daily routine. For DROP IN VISITS, I feed your pets, give them fresh water, clean a litter box, play/cuddle with pets and take pets in a secured yard for a potty break. I bond with pets quickly and really enjoy my time with them. I had my own cat for 21 years and dog for 15 years. Pet owners express often to me how happy they are with the attention and care I give their pets and how relieved they felt knowing their pets were well taken care of while away. Repeated pet/house sits are common for me.
Reviews

As always , Carrie was great !!

Carrie was amazing with our dogs! This was our first time using Rover, and she made the whole experience easy and stress-free. She took excellent care of them, kept us updated, and it was such a relief knowing they were in great hands. We could truly relax while we were away. We would absolutely love to book with Carrie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter. 🐾

It's always unsettling to leave your fur babies with a stranger in your house but my worries were were soon alleviated when I realized that Carrie is a very diligent, hard working, trustworthy, and reliable person. The dogs were well taken care of and the house was sparkling clean. I would not hesitate to recommend Carrie.

Carrie was a fabulous house sitter for our French bulldog Luna. She did a thorough meet and greet and got to know Luna before her stay. She was attentive throughout the visit and provided regular updates and photos. She kept Luna comfortable through some bitter cold days and snowy, salty streets. We'd gladly book Carrie again for house sitting.
