My (Carrie) schedule is flexible as this is my full-time job. I will step out to do drop-ins for clients but overall, I am home and have lots of availability. For house-sitting, my husband stays overnight from 8:00 pm- 6:00 am. On days that is does not work he is available to stay a little bit longer. I am able to provide a mid-day drop-in for an additional fee.

Safety, trust & environment

We follow all instructions provided by the owner. We believe that proper communication is essential for providing a great service which is something we strive on giving all of our clients. I am a trained therapist and so I would say that communication is my strongest area. For boarding, we have a gate that is set up behind our front door, as a second barrier to ensure that your dog cannot just slip out the front door. We also put your dog in a crate if we will be in and out of the front door. We also never leave your pet outside unsupervised. Dogs are never left alone with other dogs unsupervised. All dogs are also fed separate to eliminate any food aggression.

A typical day

Each day varies based on our schedule and what we have going on and just go with the flow, as we are very laid back. We love and care like your pet is our own, every day! Our prices are comparable to a dog kennel. You get many added benefits of in-home boarding vs a kennel. For one, you're getting individualized and personal care for your dog! Your dog is part of our family during their stay and welcome to chill with us on the couch and they're not shoved in a kennel all day. Most kennels charge a base price for your dog to be trapped in a kennel and any playtime during the day is an extra charge. With us, you never pay extra for playtime! We have our own dogs for your dog to play with so they're getting proper dog socialization as well for not additional cost! Most kennels do not offer updates unless they charge $50+ a day. With us you always get daily updates and I even provide at least 1 video during the duration of your pups stay! In a kennel. Additionally, you're supporting a small and local family! Every penny that is made is going towards the baby adoption fund! Its for a good cause versus paying a large kennel where the employees do not even make a "living" wage. I think knowing your dogs snuggling with us on the couch each night while we watch a movie/TV is worth more than paying a kennel to keep your dog in a cage the duration of the stay, dont you?

Pet care experience

Hello! Welcome to my pet-sitting profile! All pet-sitters on Rover are different and require different things as well as charging different amounts. Please reach out to inquire about my services and with any questions you may have! Often times small critters are overlooked because when you think of Rover you think of dogs and cats! However, my husband Kurt and I have experience working with small critters too! Kurt has cared for a special needs’ guinea pig for the last year, which included a bath and being hand fed! Kurt and I have both owned and have experience in the past caring for guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, fish, and a bunny rabbit! Along with owning cats and caring for many cats through Rover, we are both experienced in cat care. Kurt does have experience caring for baby kittens who still need bottle fed! Please note that we do not give any insulin (shots) or give medication unless it is put in food/treats.Kurt and I would love to care for your small critter or cat, worry free, while you’re on vacation! We also recognize that some critters and cats like attention and some want to be left alone! We try to respect that and offer short and long drop-ins to accommodate both types of personality styles, currently we offer two price points; 15 minute visits and 30 minute visits! We also care for dogs as well but we are not currently offering less than 30 minute visits for dogs due to liability and needs that dogs have. For ALL services, you will receive photos! I try to send a handful of photos each visit and at least 1 video during the booking. Our motto is: we treat your pet like we would our own! I firmly believe that you get what you pay for and while my prices might be on the higher end, you’re also going to get high-end care. I am proud to state that most of my clients stay with me because they know they’re getting top quality care, communication, and love for their pet. Most of my clients have been with me since I started 5 years ago. I have only been seeing repeat clients for last 3 years and only recently opened up since moving from Greenville to Spartanburg. I am Pet CPCR and First Aid certified, photo of the certificate is in the photos. We are also insured through PCI, to provide all clients with additional support and relief. **Payment upfront is required in order to reserve and guarantee a spot. If you are unable to pay right now, I understand that but please note that the spot might be taken. 7-day cancellation policy is in effect for ALL services except dog-walking **
