Mom/Former Teacher Who Loves Dogs

I am a college educated mother of 5, former nanny/childcare provider, formerly worked in Carmel Clay Schools and as a preschool teacher in Carmel. People have been entrusting their children to my care for years, so this speaks to my dependability and caring nature. I have been on Rover for several years, watching dogs both in my home and in the homes of others for many years. A lot of my clients have become repeat clients and friends. My husband and children also love dogs, so it’s a family affair! I have plenty of people to love on your animal when in my home. Having owned dogs my entire life, I have raised puppies, dealing with chewing and house training stages, and had senior animals who needed medical care and drug administration. I currently work as a realtor, so my schedule varies, but usually someone is home throughout most of the day. Our schedule is more varied on weekends with my children’s activity schedules! I have a small home, but a large fenced in yard. I have one back room that is mostly reserved for the dogs (I.e. they have an old couch that is theirs to use). I also have a large 4 year old dog. He has been raised with dogs in and out his entire life. My husband and children all help when dogs are in our home. If your dog likes cuddles and/or playtime, we would be a good fit! I let the dogs run in our yard when weather permits! I have several “regulars” and repeat clients who often keep my schedule busy, but encourage new clients to reach out for a meet and greet to determine if your dog and our family are a good fit for your needs. I try to communicate a lot to make sure you are comfortable having your fur baby here while you are away. I try not book or introduce dogs from other families to each other unless I have communicated an overlapping schedule ahead of time and only if I know the personalities of the animals will intermingle well. I do separate dogs during feeding times or times when the animal may need more space.

Carrie and her family are amazing! They love on my dogs just like I do at home, so that’s why we continually go back! ❤️

Carrie went WAY above and beyond for our dog. I knew our dog would be high maintenance, but she really tested the limits at Carrie's house... Carrie was nothing but compassionate and kept in constant contact with us. I so appreciate having Carrie take such good care of our pet!

I’ve used Carrie numerous times! My dogs love it at her home. They get out of the car and can’t wait to see her and the kids. Thanks again for watching them!!

Carrie was great. She took the time to come to our house to meet our dog about 2 months before our vacation. Our dog seemed very happy with her stay.

Schedule

I currently work part-time and my husband sometimes works from home, so we have plenty of time to devote to the care of your pup!

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
Children 0-5 years old
Children 6-12 years old
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture

Safety, trust & environment

As mentioned, I have a fenced in yard. The fence height varies in portions of the yard, so dogs that do not dig under or jump over will do well and have free roam to run and watch squirrels.

Pets

A typical day

I have a playful dog and children who love to play and snuggle. We are an active family- playing outdoor or taking walks or hikes. We also love to snuggle on the couch or bed and give dogs lots of affection!

Carrie can host up to 2 pets per night
The dog must be good with children and other dogs if coming into my home. If I am going into your home, I would be comfortable caring for any non aggressive breed. It is important to me to know your expectations upfront and I will be honest if I can meet them.
