I work M-F, 8-4 in Oregon City where I also live and have a fairly flexible schedule with the opportunity to wfh. I’m a single mom and split care with my child’s dad, so I’ve found I have more free time than I know what to do with. I am highly skilled at time management, communicative, and am someone that likes to plan ahead.

Safety, trust & environment
I do not push animals to do more than they are comfortable with, providing patience, guidance, and reassurance when needed. It can be hard to have a new person in your space and your favorite human(s) gone. I enjoy providing regular play times, cuddles, walks, and outings in the car if they so enjoy.

Information Carrie H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has a preference on where they like to sleep, route or park they prefer, or a favorite toy or game. I have assisted many elderly and disabled dogs, assisting them on ambulating stairs or ramps, getting into bed, or helping them access their food and water regularly with reminders. Every animal has their own personality and preferences, so navigating anxieties is a common occurrence for any sitting experience. Also, feeding routines and specifics are important to follow to create as much congruency in your animals routine.
A typical day
I would either walk your dog on a trail, sidewalk, take them to the park, or take them to a dog park. I love throwing balls, playing tug of war, making dog friendly treats, and having fun in the water. I enjoy playing with cats as well, providing cuddles, and giving attention if they so desire.

Responsible Animal Lover for All
Pet care experience
I've had numerous years of experience caring for other families animals, especially dogs and cats. All animals are a source of joy, physical activity, and companionship that is unparalleled to any human contact. I have administered medication, bathed, brushed teeth, and clipped nails on many, many occasions. I’ve managed small farms that included 50 chickens, half a dozen goats, and chicks. I have references and regular clients available to vouch for my skills. I’m a single mom that has found a subset of time that I’d love to fill with meaningful work. During the week, I work with individuals with developmental disabilities, but on the weekends I enjoy any opportunity to read, go on hikes, or cook. I’ve raised dogs and cats from infancy, as well as rescuing, so I’ve experienced a large range of what it means to care for each animal through all life’s stages.
