Excited to love your dog!
We live a very active lifestyle and have had dogs around our whole lives! We have been on Rover for over four years and have taken care of hundreds of dogs, and we have loved caring for each one with their unique and varied needs! We care for your dog like they are our own and work to replicate their home routine during their stay with us! We work from home most days so will be available almost all day for your pet’s needs. I (Carolyn) love running and would love to bring your dog with me. I can provide the right amount of exercise for your dog, whether that be five miles of running daily, playing fetch at the park, or just relaxing at home. I (Steven) grew up with two dogs and have experience taking care of senior dogs with special needs as my family dogs grew older. I will also be taking your dog out throughout the day as much as needed. We live close to many parks and have a vehicle to transport your pet to nearby dog parks. We have also given medication to dogs, including shots, so we have experience in whatever your dog may need.

Schedule
We work from home most days but often one of us will have to be in the office. We also have our own dog, Shasta, a German Shepherd Mix, who loves other dogs and will keep your dog company.

We have a small unfenced backyard that we only take the dogs out to if there is bad weather. We can separate dogs into different rooms in our home while we are working if they need time alone or are anxious around other dogs.
Pets
A typical day
We love to play catch with your dog or play tug-of-war. Depending on your dog and their favorite activities, we are open to anything! We just love to see your dog happy. We dedicate at least 30 minutes a day (outside of standard walks) to doing activities with them. Our walk schedule is typically 8AM, lunch-time, after work, and before bed. These walks are typically 0.5 miles during the work day, and to Volunteer Park for 30 minutes after work. In-between these walks, we can take your dog on shorter potty breaks if needed.

- Sometimes we have multiple pets at one time, so we would like to know how your pet does around other pets! We would also love to know how much walking and exercise your pet desires. We look forward to giving them the care they need! Please let us know if your dog: - has had an accident (pee or poo) in your home in the past 2 weeks - barks a lot - is high-energy and/or needs extra attention - cannot be left alone for at least 2 hours (dinner and errands) - is crate-trained - does not like other dogs or is not friendly with other dogs - is going through special training of which we need to be aware - likes to chew on things - has food aggression - is on a special diet - needs more walks than every 3-4 hours Thank you for trusting us to provide care and some loving to your pet while you’re away!
