Pet care experience

Outdoor play, then couch time!

I love dogs, I like to do what they want! We live in Anchorage so dogs close by are preferable. We would love to do dog walks or drop in visits. We get outside a lot and like to get off leash if it's a safe area and your dog won't take off. Otherwise retractable leashes are the way to go. We are responsible about picking up dog poop. We will show your dog a good time! We will customize our care for your dog, just let us know any details you need us to know. On walks we will keep them on a leash unless it’s a dog park or an off leash area and know that they will return to our command.

House Sitting • Jan 05, 2026

Carolyn did not follow our care instructions. She left our dogs alone for over 10 hours the first day as well as overnight the 2nd night. Our care instructions state that they are not to be left alone for more than 8 hours. She only returned to the house after 13 hours because we texted and called her. This posed a significant health and safety issue for our dogs who frequently need to be let out during the night to go to the bathroom. When she finally contacted us back she responded in a defensive way stating that “she knows dogs” and she didn’t see any issue with leaving them alone for over 13 hours. Our dogs are rescues from the villages and one of them has a significant fear of loud noises. He feels much more secure knowing someone is in the house. We did not feel comfortable finishing out the sit with Carolyn. This made our already stressful trip worse by forcing us to scramble to find another sitter in the middle of our trip.

Carolyn was an awesome sitter! She took my dog out on several outings and sent me pictures an updates throughout my trip. She was incredibly accomodating when my travel plans changed and I needed to extend my dog's stay. I highly reccomend Carolyn and her lovely family!

Carol is very dependable and trustworthy! She works as an ER nurse and is very active outdoors in her free time. Her own dog is very well-mannered and enjoys the company of other dogs. My dog Ragnar gets lots of love and plenty of exercise when hanging out with Carol!

We can brush them and give them any treats you like. Walking and playing fetch is fun. Or just reading on the couch together is great!
