Information Carolyn Q. would like to know about your pet

As I stated before, I love all dogs. Before we spend a weekend together, I like to know what commands your dog knows, what might scare them, and what calms them down. Its also nice to know how they react to other beings so I am prepared when we walk past another person or animal. Additionally, I love to spoil my new friends with a toy or treat. If there is anything specific you would not like your pet to have, please let me know.

A typical day

I try to get my pup guests to the dog park at least once a day. I find it's good to allow my friendly pups to exhaust some energy running around with other pups. We’ll get regular walks, playtime at home, and as many cuddles as the pup will allow (I always respect their limits!). Your dog’s personality and preferences will help us determine the best schedule, but I’m committed to providing optimum exercise, treats, and plenty of play.

Pet care experience

I love puppies! (Every dog is a puppy to me, no matter their age.) Their lively energy, loving presence, and unique dispositions wore me down long ago, and having pups in my life is a high priority. Since I frequently travel for work, I’ve discovered that pet-sitting is an ideal solution to my need for puppy time and your need for consistent, reliable care. I’m overjoyed to be able to get my puppy fix while providing a much-needed service to owners! I’m responsible and patient, and I strive to have my clients know they can rely on me no matter what. You should never hesitate to reach out and ask for my help! Whenever I’m caring for a dog--either at my place or yours--I’m incredibly affectionate. (I might need the cuddle sessions more than the pup does!) I could spend hours petting or playing with a dog and never get bored. I also love taking photos to share with you and to remember all our fun times and adventures. I’ve owned a German Shephard Collie mix, a Beagle Lab mix, a Huskie Lab mix, and a Yellow Lab. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, including with senior dogs who require medication. I’ve learned several tricks over the years for getting stubborn pups to feel at ease with me and to make med time stress-free. I’m moving to Brewerytown at the end of January. The neighborhood is up-and-coming, with lots of amazing changes underway. Its proximity to the Art Museum area and the Schuylkill River trail are exciting, and Boat House Row is one of my favorite places in the city to visit. Nighttime walks to view the lights will make for sweet puppy dreams, too! I’ll be checking out the dog parks as soon as I move in; I can’t feel that I’ve gotten my bearings until I know all the puptractions. I’m looking forward to testing them out with new canine friends! I also have a collection of dog toys for stays at my place, or we’ll play with the toys they have at home. When I’m not pet-sitting, I’m usually traveling for work. I love exploring and seeing new places. At home, I enjoy crafting, reading, or studying for my graduate school admissions test. I love taking a pup out for long walks at least once a day. Most weekends, I’ll be able to stay home with them all day. *Please note: I work outside the city, so I am away from the city from approximately 7:30 - 6:00 pm (Monday - Friday).

Our dogs had a great time at Carolyn's for doggie daycare! They were so happy when I went to pick them up and I got so many updates throughout the day, I knew they were having the best time. They came home so happy and tired. I could tell they were very well cared for. They will definitely be staying with Carolyn again in the future without hesitation!

Carolyn watched my 6 month old puppy very last minute. It was my first time ever using a rover or leaving my little guy. She kept me updated the entire time and calmed my nerves! Would love to use her again in the future!

Caroyln really went above and beyond with caring for our pets while we were away for 2 weeks on vacation! We asked her to board our dog and do drop in visits for our cats. I just wanted her to make sure they stayed alive (lol) but she also played with our cats, made sure they were comfortable with her, and let them get in some snuggle time while we were gone. And with our dog, she walked Cleo multiple times a day, took her to the dog park, and even brushed her! I even think Cleo was bummed to come home after going to Camp Carolyn! She is a stellar pet sitter and I would highly recommend her to anyone in Philly!
