Pet care experience

East Nashville Dog and Cat Lover

I have had up to 4 pets of my own at one time over the past 20 years and they are/have been the love of my life. Currently, I have a 18 yr old male cat that is very friendly with other friendly cats and dogs. My 2 11 yr old female dogs have recently passed away from their long-term and chronic health issues (diabetes, blindness, seizures, tumors/cancer), so I am very well versed in all things cat/dog related and have also provided various forms of medications/treatments at one time or another, including insulin injections, eye medications, pills, chews, ointments, etc. (you name it, I probably gave it). At Home Visits, House Sitting & Walking services: I will treat your pets and your home as if they are my own. I treat all people, pets and homes with the utmost respect and will treat your pet and your home as I expect mine to be treated while someone else is caring for my pets while I am away. I am a well skilled multiple dog walker and know how to handle leashed dogs on a walk and ensure I avoid any contact with other dogs/animals encountered along the way. I am also an experienced pet cuddler and playmate and will love on & play with your cats and dogs as much as they will allow me to do so during our time together. Boarding/Daycare: I work from home, so will be with your fur babies all day long. My home is 2 stories (I can restrict the 2nd floor if needed) and there is a doggie door that leads into the fenced in back yard. If your dog is not doggie door trained, I can provide several bathroom breaks in between meetings throughout the day. For those dogs that enjoy the comfort and safety of a crate, I have 2 bedded crates (1 large, 1 medium) that can be used throughout the day and overnight. I also have several dog and cat beds throughout my home, so you can be confident that your pet with be comfortable during their stay. I took a long break from providing pet care on Rover due to starting a very demanding job in October of 2022 plus the complex and various health issues my pets were experiencing. I am reinstating my Rover services now that I have some extra capacity and have added boarding and day care services now that I no longer have dogs in my home. I am excited to meet and love on your fur babies!

Carolyn was stellar from the start--very professional with regard to caring for my senior dog, sending updates and timely communication, and working with me on scheduling. In fact, when I had ridiculous flight delays from a work trip, she was flexible and gracious and supportive. All great things! Cannot recommend her enough.

Schedule

Walks/In-Home Visits: The best times to care for your pets would be weekday mornings, evenings and weekends. While I do work full-time Monday - Friday, I do have some flexibility in my schedule where I may be able to fit in a weekday mid-day walk or pet check-in from time to time as my schedule permits. Working from home, I have some flexibility and, with advance notice, may be able to take care of your pets for a weekday mid-day visit from time to time as long as you are flexible on timing as I will need to schedule pet services around meetings and other work commitments. I have a lot more flexibility and availability for night and weekend visits. Boarding/Day Care: I work from home so will be with your pets the majority of each day House Sitting: As long as you have high speed internet, I can work from your home if you like. If not, I will be able to spend evenings and overnight at your home after I finish work.

Pets

A typical day

Cats: I will play with, cuddle and love on your cats as much as they allow me to. I will feed them, ensure water is sufficient and litter boxes are cleaned as instructed/needed. I will administer any medications as per instructed. Dogs: I will play with, cuddle and love on your dogs as much as they allow me to. I will feed them and ensure water is sufficient. I will walk your dog(s) around your neighborhood. I can handle up to 3 well behaved dogs at a time provided that all dogs are very familiar with each other. I will administer any medications as per instructed. House: I can bring all mail and packages into the safety of your home. I can also perform other small tasks as needed (empty dehumidifier, water plants, etc.) but they will take time and attention away from caring for your pets. Boarding, Day Care and House Sitting: I will act like a temporary fur baby momma to ensure your pets are safe, comfortable, and happy during your absence In summary, your pets will get a lot of love and attention from me whether it is cuddles with your cat or belly rubs for your dog (or vice versa in some cases).

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or requirements during our visit. For new customers, I will schedule a meet and greet to make sure we are all comfortable with each other and I know exactly what to do for your pets (and when to do it) to ensure your pet feels as loved and comforted as possible during your absence. For recurring customers, I will make sure we keep in touch to ensure I have all needed and up to date information prior to caring for your pets. I will always send lots of pictures to make sure you have peace of mind that your fur babies are being very well cared for during your absence.
