Pet care experience

What’s life without pets??

I started out pet and house sitting for friends and family in high school, and have done so on and off since. A few years ago I started using pet sitting to travel. That has been great! I can administer easy meds. I’ve trained all my dogs. I have a lot of patience and care animals of all kinds and personalities.

Carolyn so kindly jumped in past minute to care for our older pups! She was very responsive and great at communicating. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and recommend her to others!

Lizzie was a life saver! She came to our rescue when a sitter backed out last minute. She was wonderful with our two dogs while we were in the hospital for a few days having our baby. I could not recommended her more! She was communicative & caring, and we came home to happy pups!!

Carolyn was amazing - again!! This was her second time taking care of our dog, Roxy. She took her on so many walks and hikes and just took amazing care of her.🩷 We are so appreciative of how kind and communicative Carolyn is when we're away.

Good afternoon, I had booked an 11 day stay with this Rover sitter. On day 2 of the stay the sitter stated they would be unable to complete due to allergies. However, she reported she had to leave by 12pm the following day (not even a 24 hour notice). I was in Florida at the time with my mother with dementia, trying to get her settled and there was an extreme amount of stress added to my travels. Considered flying home however, would not be reimbursed for the emergency flight. Just want to give others a heads up, this is not a reliable sitter and I would not recommend booking her based on my experience.

Carolyn is amazing! She's super friendly and kind and our dog, Roxy, loved her immediately! Carolyn took Roxy on walks and hikes and took awesome care of her while we were away. She even went above and beyond and also took care of our daughter's leopard gecko during our time away. We will definitely book Carolyn again and 100% recommend her!

Carolyn (aka Lizzie) took care of our dogs for nearly a month, through a different platform. I was nervous just to be away from them and asked, what I considered to be a somewhat unreasonable request, to FaceTime with her and our pups a couple times. She loved that idea and encouraged me to do so as often as I would like. She is a pet lover through and through, you can just tell. Our dogs were happy and comfortable with her right away and so were my partner and I. She left our home cleaner than we did and is definitely our go to next time we need a sitter.

Schedule

Availability: I work primarily remotely, so my availability is pretty flexible, but also based around family, travel, etc. Some weeks I will be working full or half days on site- I will let you know ahead of time. Please let me know what specific needs you and your pets have. I’m confident I can accommodate for most arrangements. For house sits I can come earlier, but for walks and drop in’s I’m available from 9 (maybe 8)am to 9pm

Where your pet will stay

Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present

Safety, trust & environment

Safety basics: Keeping food I myself would be tempted by, is always a good start! I can do dog cpr. I am comfortable giving most meds to most animals. My animals safety is of the utmost importance to me, and your pets will be the same. I will follow your rules, and go above and beyond to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness- in and outside (where applicable) of the home.

A typical day

Taking a walk is one of my favorite things, second only to snuggling pets, so rest assured your furry friends will get plenty of both. Please let me know about favorite toys and past times so I can make this fun for everyone!
