Pet care experience

Home from Home care for your four legged friend!

Growing up we always had dogs at home and I owned my large mixed breed bitch for 11 years and in that time we played host to many visiting dogs. I have always preferred a home environment for dogs to be cared for in rather than kennels, and that’s exactly what we want to provide. My two children are used to being around a mix of dogs of different sizes (my girl was around 30kg) and have learnt how to safely play with dogs, and leave them alone when sleeping or eating. We are lucky to have both beach and country walks not far from our house so whether your pooch likes to walk or sleep, we would love to meet them! I have had recent experience of puppy training so toilet and crate training is something we are happy to accommodate ❤️

Carolyn sent us lots of updates of our dog for daycare. We felt happy that she was being taken care of and having a lovely time without us. Thanks very much!

Carolyn did an incredible job at looking after my teenage Bernese mountain dog, Bilbo! It was really helpful that we were able to have a meet and greet beforehand, so Bilbo could get her initial excitement out of the way, and settle calmly during the actual booking. Alterations were even made to the environment, to best suit Bilbo. For example, she loves to chew small pillows, so Carolyn removed them from sight beforehand.

Charlie is just back from his first visit to Carolyn. I was a bit worried as to how he might react to being left, but Carolyn settle him in really well. When I picked him up he was chilled and relaxed and had obviously made himself at home! I would have no hesitation in using Carolyn again and he is already booked in for another visit very soon.

I trust Carolyn 100% with my boy Ralph. He had his first sleepover away from home and she kept me updated with photos and little updates which was reassuring. Ralph loves that Carolyn has 2 lovely children and loves to play and snuggle with them. For him it’s home from home which makes me feel at ease. I would recommend Carolyn to anyone that needs a dog sitter 🐾

Carolyn looked after Oscar for the first time and was absolutely brilliant with him. He can be very needy at 15years old but she gave him special attention and he made himself at home in her house. We will definitely be using her again and can highly recommend her. Thank you Carolyn. So glad we’ve found you.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced back garden for easy toileting needs. Pets will free roam the house but can be crated for rest periods if this would be the routine at home for them.

A typical day

Daily trips to the beach or nearby park are always on the agenda along with playtime in the garden if that’s something that your dog enjoys. If they are more of a couch potato they can cuddle up on the sofa.

Please let me know if your dog is reactive. How you would normally manage behaviour such as jumping up or whether they need to be walked on a long or short lead. I will always try and follow the training practices of the owner to ensure consistency in the dogs training.
