I am accustomed to a "meet and greet" with each dog I walk or care for. A lot can be established by that felt sense. I like to know if the dog has basic training, if he or she has ever bitten anyone, of course. If there is more than one dog or cat in the house, who is the alpha, etc.
A typical day
Most dogs have a routine of their own, in my experience. They eat and they rest. They nudge me when they want to go out. They bring me a toy or a ball when they want to play.

Pet care experience
Beginning 12/1/25, I am moving to Biddeford. I work, remotely, in Westbrook. I am most open to jobs in or between those two locations. My schedule is flexible. I do not currently have a dog of my own. I love dogs and enjoy their company. We take walks, play fetch, etc. I've had several pets over the years, both dogs and cats. I am an active person and go out walking several times per day to break up my own work routine. What I am trying to create is an experience for the dog and/or cat to relax and enjoy. I want the opposite of a kennel environment, which I think stresses most dogs out. I talk to the animals in my company. I take time out to pet them and and talk to them. I do appreciate their company and respect their routines. Dogs and other animals have always naturally gravitated toward me. I am calm by nature, and also smart, well educated, and organized. I am a careful person, quite conscientious. I love dogs and cats. While the master is off on an adventure, there is no reason why the dog(s) and cat(s) can't be having fun as well.

My dogs loved having Carolyn stay with them. I am always a bit anxious for a new person, since one of my dogs is a terrior mix and can be a bit wierd with new people. So when Carolyn came over to meet them - it was great that Molly took to her easily. And we will definately be booking her again.
